E-sim doesn't love new players (Old article)

Hello players

I am writing this article to express my feeling after 26 days of playing e-sim. I would like to notice that, this is my own point of view, maybe totally incorect. At first let me introduce myself.

I am quite new player. I was born on day 83 and at the beginning of the game I had no friends who play this game. I had to learn the mechanism of the game myself. And after 26 days of my play i have to say...E-sim doesn't love new players

Why? Let me explain my point of view.

At the beginning of my play I watched all the battles and I imagined that, one day I will take part in them on a par with other players. But now I know it is impossible because there is no way to catch up with the players, who play since the very first day.

Strength differences:


Let say that I will play for another 113 days. According to information on this siteTraining information there will always be a gap between me and the first players amounting to164 point of strength. Is it a big difference?

Well, the damage formula looks like that: Link to the source

T = S * W * R * D * L * F * U

T = Total damage
S = Strength
W = Weapon quality (see below)
R = Military rank bonus (see below)
D = Defense System quality (1.0 if no DS, 1.05~1.25 if there is Q1~Q5 DS)
L = Location bonus (1.2 if you're located in the battlefield as a defender or in resistance wars, or next to the battlefield as an attacker, 1.0 if not)
F = Surrounded debuff (1.0 in most cases, 0.8 if no route to core regions)
U = Military unit order bonus (1.0 if no order, 1.05~1.20 if fight in order depending on MU type)


The W and R components are also dependent on the strength.
W for waepon Q5 is equal to (Strength x 2.0 x Military Rank) and Military Rank (R) is egual to (Strength x Weapon x 2.00) (for Major rank)

This formula is a bit sophisticated, but I see that this 164 point of makes a large difference.

House and Estate:


Additionally the most of the old players have their House and Estate Q5, that increase the food and gift limit by 5 per day. As a result of that, the old players can gain higher military rank than new players. And don't tell me that I can buy my own home when House Q5 costs something about 25-30 Gold
and Estate 50-60Gold
.

Support:

I intentionally omit the case of support from governments and Military Units because of that, both group of players (new players and old players) can count on the support from Polish government.

New Admin ideas:


I understand the reson why Admin want to add new features to the game. It will be more interesting, cooler and ... more frustrating.
We can read about new plan here .
The equipment would be nice, but in the current form it will make the differences between old and new players greater.

Who will receive items

Q5 items will be given randomly to BH winners
Q4 items will be given randomly to top3 fighters (from all rounds)
Q3 items will be given randomly to top10 fighters (from all rounds)
Q2 and Q1 items will be given randomly to every battle participant


That means that, old players will receive more powerfull items than new players. Is it frustrating? For me it is.


My opinion about game:
Actually all this stuff make me sad and I treat e-sim like an economic game. I fight for Poland using my daily food limit and free food q5 from government but I know that my damage is so meaningless. The only source of joy is that, when I sell some products with profit on the global market, and that is all. I supose that I will be bored with this game after a couple of days, maybe weeks.

Proposition:
This part is dedicated to Admins:

I know this game is different from for example WoW (World of Warcraft), but why don't you look at some mechanism form WoW? What I mean is that, there is huge lack of skills required from players. Everything what player have to do is check current oreder or get it from irc, go to the terget location (if he has money for ticket of course) and click Fight button. No nicety. No skills required. No reflection. Just look at dmg differences bitween sides of battle, and click Figth button if your dmg is necessary.

Maybe it would be better when you provide something like skills for players. Every player will be able to choice some skills from entire skill panel (for example 5 skills out of all 15). Make some special skills combination. Do something, that the players have to think a little. Maybe you will have to completely change battle mechanism. Maybe run another one test server with this different game logic. Make an questionnaire to find out what other players think about that. Make this game more interesting, because right now sometimes i feel like that:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.


In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.


You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).


At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
