Dear Australia,

I come forward today to offer my services as the Prime Minister of Australia for the month of January.

In real life, Australia has produced many fabulously rich people that we know of but very few politicians worth their salt on the global stage.

Three things wrong about Rupert Murdoch
1) Married to Chinawoman
2) Founder of Fox News
3) Generally an asshat

Three things wrong about Gina Rinehart
1) Fat as a cow
2) Wants Western Australia to be an independent country
3) Hates fellow Aussies for demanding a livable wage

Three things wrong about Mel Gibson
1) He's Crazy
2) Filmed The Beaver
3) Is no longer a functional alcoholic

Enough about crazy Australians, what's wrong with sAustralia, and what can we do about it?

Let's stop being Taiwanese. Remember, when you're Taiwanese you always lose.

1. Partisan politics: It's a fact that we have numerous factions in Australia, all bickering, accusing one another of being PTOs and not communicating whatsoever. But the fact of the matter is that each faction is here to stay, and that we better reach a common understanding by working together towards our common goals.

Critical to this is open communication channels.

In order to facilitate communication and understanding, if elected Prime Minister, I will institute a unity cabinet, with representatives from each group. Policies will be discussed with cabinet members prior to being decided, thus minimizing partisan bickering.

We need more koalas in our media.

2. Foreign Policy:

One of the problems from the previous term was that foreign policy was decided exclusively by the CP, without discussions with either Parliament or the public. Instead, referendums and gold were wasted on useless proposals like this .

The result was that aside from its flaws, the NAP was not supported by anyone and was thus quickly violated to the cost of 200g.

This has got to stop.

We can fix our foreign policy, in particular our relations with our allies in SUP. While currently a mess they don't have to remain this way. If you look at the various groups in Australia, one common aspect is that many are pro-SUP and/or hail from SUP countries.

In order to improve our foreign policy, I will begin an Ambassador Corps, under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. By utilizing such immigrants as ambassadors to their home countries, we can start rebuilding our credibility in the eyes of our allies.

Second, I will open direct channels with SUP leadership so that we can work towards better coordinating our military with that of our allies.

If this black guy can do it, so can we.

3. Economic Policy

Even without our territories (which seems to be the likely outcome for next month), there are plenty of ways we can revive our economy and even prosper. But what is most important is some accountability.

Where do our tax revenues go? What happened to the pitiful rental income from Australia? These are some of the questions that cross our minds because there's absolutely no documentation regarding our revenues.

A Prime Minister, I will document all gold flows so that citizens can be rest assured that our meager savings are not squandered.

Second, assuming we can get our house in order, the easiest way is to run a civil war.

Despite facing multiple RWs and an invasion by Chinamen, South Korea ran a successful CW this month that netted the government over 500 gold.

Now it is unlikely that we can pull of as successful of a CW, we can still avoid the Formosan outcome, where they failed to secure even ONE BH tie, thus making us some useful gold during a period of occupation.

Finally, better use of our state companies is a no-brainer. We can avoid paying taxes to Indos (by donating salaries) and be conveniently placed for RWs by better using state companies located in Indonesia.

Lets have a good time

4. The lighter side of things

Most important is to have fun. We play this game for fun, but instead waste our time arguing with one another. Activating our IRC channel is one straight forward method, but more media, contests and so forth are ways to build a sense of community. These type of things can seem unimportant, but it's often what keeps a community together during difficult times.

In general, I would like to work with each and every one of you to build towards a better Australia next month.

If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below, I will address them in my follow-up article.

Best Regards,

danyeo

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
