Survey Results

Before I post the results, a few disclaimers are needed. Firstly, I did not take the survey. I feel that it doesn't make sense for me, the survey creator, to take his own survey. Secondly, I must mention that a troll or two may have taken the survey and skewed the results a bit off, but only by one vote in any category, so the data still presents itself accurately.

I'll post the data and analyze it in chunks to avoid tossing it all down at once.

So without further ado...

For each group of charts I'll comment a little on what they tell us. For these, we can see that most players that took the survey are mostly involved in the game militarily, while those that answered otherwise were pretty much evenly distributed throughout the rest of the categories. This could hint at the fact that war is one of the main, if not the very main component, that defines gameplay in e-sim. So is e-sim essentially a war game? I'll let you mull that over...

Also, we see that most players do come from e-sim's previous server, Primera. Besides that one unfortunate soul that didn't know what Primera was, most players have played in Primera. Since the large majority is, it's safe to infer that a large group of your friends on e-sim did come from another server in the past, or may even still be active in that server.

Here we are shown some statistics regarding MUs. Relating back to previous data, since e-sim is largely based on military aspects, then it would make sense for most players to be involved in an MU. Most experienced players do seem to be aligned with some MU. Perhaps more data correlating these two variables, experience and MU, might tell us more...

Also, I see that this question (not the previous) wasn't held by the majority to be dumb. Interesting. Tells a lot about the world, no?

None of you like Vegemite that much huh? That's fine. I'm not the biggest fan either. A whole lot of you do seem to like coke though. Even those that don't drink tooth-decaying carbonated beverages.

Also, it's interesting to see that while most of you did use IRC sometimes, but sparingly, many of you didn't even know what IRC was. This bar graph doesn't follow the traditional expected "bellcurve" with the most people in the middle. Maybe it means Australia needs to improve in its use of communication.

Now this is another interesting bit of info. While most of you were invited to this game by a friend, almost half of you said you weren't. This says two things: That e-sim is also a very social game, but that its reaches also extend to those that don't already know of people currently playing it. Either way, we can all agree that e-sim allows us to meet and interact with people internationally in a fun, interesting new way.

And Jesus Christ, you all seem to absolutely LOVE Meryl Streep! I knew she was the best. Good thing you guys think so too, right?......right?.......

This is just a bit of information on voting habits. People for this question were allowed to answer more than one choice, however, but it can still be deduced that a lot of you still decide on candidates based on presentations. Good to know you take the time to read those! As for the candidates, keep making them! We do take them to heart.

Now, the second to last question (I believe) asked what you wanted to see happen in Australia. I'll post a few anonymously so you can see for yourselves.

Less infighting, international appeal, strong local markets.

I want to Australia be 1 harmonius country not divided for a lot parts

bring australia a freedom and region back

Structured Civil War

SPACEDUCK REVOLUTION !

Baby boom and better congres

All of these are certainly interesting and speak volumes about what Australia wants.

Oh and for those wondering if these surveys will continue, I'll let the last chart speak by itself.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
