Hello, ladies and gentlemen
I think it is time to introduce myself.
My nickname's kMeel. I am the community manager of e-sim. Look it up on wiki, a really vast term. Generally you can say that from now on I will be taking care of you as a community.
For now I will not be directly available to you. I am only talking with the moderators and the mighty creator = railman
I think it will change in the future. For now I have a lot things to discuss, observe. There is a lot of work before me.
Why am I introducing myself? The wind of change is coming and I will lead the first phase with our small core team (for now only 4 people) and of course with our brave moderators
From now on we will really try to fix the game according to your
CREATIVE ideas, requests (yes, for example I have acknowledged myself with the events topics, mentoring system, design ideas, map suggestions etc.
)
But thirst things thirst, we are working on a ticket system, changing the moderators structure, changing the moderator team a bit, “pimping up” the forum – changing its form, content etc. (as you can see it is already happening step by step), working on a tutorial, fixing some bugs (we still lack a sufficient number of programmers) and really a big load of future changes and ideas to improve and fix the game.
If it goes for the forum, I want to say a big thank you for
Mapsai for the first ideas exchange, discussions and first improvements.
You can discuss them here
LINK and trust me, there are still things to come in this matter.
Let's get to the main points for now:
1. Soon we will close the bugs topics for some time to clean them - get rid of double topics, trash etc. Then we will open them, but only for some time before we implement the ticket system. We still do not know how much it will take. We are planning the structure to make it as efficient as possible and easy to use for the moderators. We are trying our best to make it asap and as less harmful for you as we can.
2. We are recruiting for:
It may be a huge operation. We will specify everything soon. We see that the information on wiki is out of date, there are lot of mistakes. We want to fix it. It may be also important because of the planned tutorial. I will get back to it in a sec.
We are recruiting 4 moderators for the forum to cooperate with Mapsai. We are looking for communicative, firm, positive and sometimes bossy (if needed) players with efficient amount of time for moderating.
The applicants can contact Mapsai directly by PM both on the Secura and Primera server.
Besides that, we are recruiting at least 2 moderators for the bug topics
ONLY (!). They will be responsible
ONLY for the bugs section. First on the forum and then in the ticket system. People who will filter double topics, take out really important bugs from the minor ones etc. In this matter, as mentioned above, please contact
Mapsai Mapsai directly.
Why only bugs? We are changing the duties of moderators to divide them in a way which will make their work easier and the system more efficient. We want the moderators to have the possibility to peacefully concentrate on their tasks so we may respond more quickly to your needs and for them to live a happier life
We might search for new faces to Game Operators team. I think you know what to do here
Go to
this link .
Summing up, If you just want to be a moderator or GO only for the premium account and do nothing to help the community, please, do not bother yourself sending your application. We really need people who want to do something.
The healthier the whole “organism” of support is the easier the overall work for ALL the moderators and admins will be. Not to mention the game satisfaction of the community
3. We are working on a tutorial for beginners. We see you want to minimize the differences between the more experienced players and newbies. I have also talked about it with
iPSiArt . This may be the first step to make it happen. We will open a section on our e-sim forum. You can discuss, propose, paste your own tutorials.
But please, no spamming, hating, trolling. We will fight with it very severely.
You have to understand. It is one of the first things you have suggested to us. Let's all appreciate this discussion. We need your tips, suggestions, good will.
Relating to the abovementioned “wiki operation”. We thought about direct links to it in the tutorial, but for now try to avoid them before we fix it. We do not want to confuse the players
Basically the topics in the tutorial section will be:
Suggestions
Here you can tell us, what to add and change in the tutorial, e.g. new topics.
Content
The body of the tutorial itself. Here you can paste your texts with the finished screenshots, possible links etc. Please paste the true essence of your work here.
Applications
Read below.
Avoid creating new topics outside those three main ones. If you want to create new main topics suggest it in the suggestions topic.
The topics of the tutorial are:
- Work tutorial
- Train tutorial
- Fight tutorial
- Travel tutorial
- Military unit tutorial
- Monetary market tutorial
- Contract tutorial
- Vote tutorial (can be done only at 5/15/25)
- Party tutorial
- Equipment tutorial
- Auction tutorial
- Subsidies tutorial
- Stock market tutorial
For now the tutorial will be static, so no missions included in the tutorial itself but in the future... who knows ;> The tutorials will be in English, so try to use correct language. Formal but not too much, so it fits all the players.
In the future we want to translate the tutorials into other languages. That is why you can also run for it. If you want to translate the finished, ready to translate English text for the players from your country, do not hesitate, applicate in the application section.
Tell us something about yourself, why would you like to help, did you ever translate something, how are your language skills, age, all the crucial info you think will be needed for this task
We need translators, but also proofreaders. For example, as much as we would like to, we do not know Jiddish or Russian
We have to be sure that your translations into other languages are correct, so there will be also a discussion about the translated texts. We will estimate the number of languages on the basis of your applications
Remember, the quicker we get the finished valuable “product” the quicker we can implement it and think about the alternative translations of the tutorial. It is not an easy operation.
We really count on you, my dear friends. Cooperate, act, discuss, let us know your opinion. Let's keep everything tidy and neat.
4.
We invite you to the discussion about the mentoring system on the forum
We are considering this idea and shaping its form
We know that there are many organizations within the game which already help younger players. It is a great thing and thank you for this.
Summing up, I encourage you to help, applicate, discuss. Let us change something
TOGETHER. As I told you – for now there are only four of us. We need your good will, help and patience. It takes a lot of work and time to manage such a game. Especially when you want to correct everything
Recently, I have read an interesting shout in the game. The player was saying that every time he gets a notification from the system he hopes it is about the incoming changes from the admin. My dear friend, you know, who you are and let me tell you – from now on we will try not to disappoint you
Besides that, I would also like to thank one of the players for the inspiring article – why do we play e-sim. Keep up the good work, my friend
Remember – from players to players, I am a hardcore gamer myself for many years now
Cheers
Live long and prosper
kMeel
