Hello citizens, this is not an advanced article with perfect mathematics on how you earn the most and easiest gold. This is an article inspired by the common question in shouts
"Has anybody got some advice on how I can make gold?"

A shout is too short to give a good answer, so I figured I would give my personal reply to such a question.


This article is K.I.S.S.
(Keep It Simple Stupid)

I am going to mention these goldmaking ways:
Having companies, auctions, inviting people, monetary market



~~ Part I: Having your own Company ~~

** Profit of running companies is about 0-0.2 gold / employee each day.

There are 2 types of companies, those who make raw material, and those who use raw material to make the finished products you use in game.


Raw material companies
DO NOT Raw this:There is NO point in starting a Quality 1, 2 or 3 when it comes to RAW, you will only get a headache and LOSE money in the end.

DO Raw this:
* Quality 4 or 5.
Reasons: Lower quality simply produces much less than higher quality, this means you cant pay much salary, and you wont get any workers. With higher quality you produce more and and you can afford to pay good salaries.

Easiest Raw materials to sell are Iron, grain and diamonds, hardest are wood and stone.

Product companies
DO NOT Produce this:
* Any quality of Hospital, reason: they suck and nobody uses them.
* Any quality of Defense Systems, reason: 9/10 countries produce their own, selling is hard.
* Quality 1-4 of Food, Gifts, House, Estate, reason: very hard to sell, most people only buy Q5.
* Quality 2, 3, 4 of weapons and tickets, reason: 9/10 people use Q1 or Q5, hard to sell other.
* Weapons is an exception, many people use Q3 weapons, this is not bad to produce.

DO Produce this:
* Quality 1, 3 or 5 of Weapons , reason: Q1 Weapons is by far the most used product in the whole game. There are always people wanting to buy Q3 or 5 aswell.
* Quality 1 or 5 of Tickets, reason: most people use tickets daily.
* Quality 5 of Estate and House, reason: most people aim to own these one day, expensive but not common.
* Quality 5 of Food and Gifts, reason: as with guns these are in high demand every day, everywhere.


Sidenote and groundrule, always have your company in a HIGH region that suits it, this is so that you dont need to think about who owns the capital and learn how the bonuses to production works.




~~ Part II: trading on the Monetary Market ~~


** Profit of playing with MM is usually about 2-5% of gold spent / day, some days you make mega-good deals, other days a country crashes and you lose gold instead.

This is not as complicated as many people think, lets take a currency as example.
I go to monetary market and start on buying SEK selling gold, first see if it looks like an 'active' currency. It does, because there is much SEK for sale. Additionally the swedish org has currency on the market, to keep it at a level they have decided.
The cheapest SEK to buy cost 0,0544, you could put SEK on sale for 0,0543.
Now turn it around to buying gold for SEK.
Cheapest offer there is 18,5, means you could put for 18,4999.

If you manage to buy 10g worth of SEK you would get 184,99 SEK.
Put that on sale for 0,0543 and you would get 10,044957, a profit of ~0,05 gold.

This is not a currency I would personally trade with, much too low short-time-profit Chances are extremly low that you would manage to buy and sell at those rates, people WILL put lower bids than you several times/day. Playing with monetary requires quite a lot of logging in and updating your bids many times every day, in order to make any buys or sales at all.
But thats basicly how it works, look around for other currencies that yield more profit.

Keep a few things in mind; a conquered country, or near being conquered, has no productmarket and as such the demand for their currency will be extremly low, you will probably not be able to sell currency at all. A country with low productivity, population and/or no high regions is also risky.




~~ Part III: Inviting people ~~


** Profit is to unpredictable to say, you can spend a week spamming forums and get nothing, then one day 4 people sign up and you make 20 gold in 3 days.

This is the easiest way to make gold once the initial hard work is done, it should definatly not be forgotten.
When somebody signs up using you as referral nothing happens at first, when they reach level 7 you will recieve 5 gold.
When they get their first medal, usually after around a month (first SS or HW), you get another 5 gold. After that, you will get 0.5g every time the player gets a medal.
Also, dont forget about Equipment! When people reach level 7, you get personal armor as a reward. The more people who sign up, the better your rewards get, and as most people know, armor equipments can be sold for gold




~~ Part IIII: Auctions ~~


** Profit of this is too hard for me to put numbers on, as I havent done much of it myself.

Also not complicated, requires very little effort.
First decide on how much gold you can afford to play around with, if you are even asking the question this article is about, chances are that Q1 equipment suits you best
Take a look through closed auctions first and get an idea of how much the Q usually sells for, this should be done during evenings european time because this is when most people are online and when most equipments are being sold.
Now be online, or in advance put in bids, for auctions that ends in the mornings and before noon, euro-time. Put bids on alot of equipments, bids that are atleast 0.2-0.4 less than what you have learned that they sell for in the evening.

Some days you win no auction, other days you win many. Put equipments up for auctions at just over what you paid.
As long as you keep disciplined and only buy at low price, end sum will be profit.

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.


In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.


You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).


At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
