I was hoping we could have a live debate on IRC between Icedfire and yerm but unfortunately it was too difficult to find a time where both were available. So instead, I requested that anyone with questions for them should send them to me and I'd forward them along through an in-game message.

The following is a compilation of all the questions as well as both candidates' answers. Hopefully this helps paint a clearer picture in your mind of who you should vote for. Without further ado, here is the dual interview!

1. In your opinion, how can we improve Denmark's income seeing as we have a shitty high wood?

yerm : Since income taxes on the high wood aren't going to create money, and germany's high oil is not particularly productive, we can make money through small import taxes if the danish economy picks up or from outside programs. Opening up the housing program to outsiders at a small fee could generate revenue. The best source is still going to be a strong local economy.

Icedfire : In my opinion, we can improve Denmark's income by expanding else war, such as UK or Netherlands/Belgium or even Poland. I know that we've tried expanding a bit back, and Federation came in to save them. This time, I think we have something very special with all our new additions.

2. What are your thoughts on a program to financially aid the loyal Danish MUs? Realistic or no?

yerm : Subsidizing loyal MUs should be reasonably simple. The hard part is the finances. Tracking who follows orders and how well can be done easily. We would just need an online log kept of who's dealing damage in dk battles, who's doing damage outside, and then notes of who's farming equipment/bhs and who's hitting in the last few minutes to win. Once that's done, it's just a matter of distributing the funds in the budget for MUs to those groups, and then making sure they get disbursed to the members properly.

Icedfire : Realistic. There are a few loyal Danish MUs out there that need financial aid. I've honestly not thought about this before, great idea. More aid = more damage. More damage = better battles. Better battles = more fun!

3. Is occupying a high region to stimulate the economy and bolster the treasury a priority to you?

yerm : Taking a high region is important to me, but not one of my highest priorities. Once our alliances and foreign support are secure and are economy can support it, yes, it becomes a top priority. If the allied assistance or the funds to launch the fight are not there, no, I am not interested in expanding unreasonably.

Icedfire : No. My top priority is being loyal to Delta and our MPPs. I know from experience *cough* OwenHargreaves and WarLight *cough* that if you go against your allies, things can take a turn for the worse.

4. Are you happy with Delta's size and Scandinavian location? Or would you push to invite additional countries from various other locations in the world?

yerm : I am mostly happy with Delta. I think Sweden added that big punch that the Empire was supposed to and in a much more stable position. I am not actively pursuing more members, but am not opposed to others joining. If we did take in more, I am most interested in "night fighters" who hit late night America / early morning Europe time, to round our damage base.

Icedfire : I think Delta is nice little alliance, however I think it would be ideal to expand it a bit. There aren't many countries left that are neutral/are in no alliance, but I hear we have gotten some requests.

5. What makes you better than your Presidential opponent?

yerm : I like Icedfire. I just think I have more drive, more time, more experience in foreign and diplomatic matters and more ideas that will take us further.

Icedfire : I honestly do not think I am better to my CP opponent. We both have our ups and downs. Mine being my random activity, and his being his time here. I believe that both of us can bring two different things to the table, and make a change for the better. I wish we could have 2 CP's.

6. VVV, anti-VVV, or neutral?

yerm : Neutral.

Icedfire : VVV. That's a pretty powerful alliance to fuck with. I'd rather join them than fight against them. (For the record, I am not saying I want Denmark to join VVV, I am just saying I'd rather join 'em then fuck with 'em)

7. You're in prison and you're approached by a big burly man that wants to rape you. What's your game plan?

yerm : My older brother used to shit his pants to get out of being spanked when we were kids. I'd go with his strategy.

Icedfire : Next question. Haha, jokes. I guess I have to answer this one, anyways, I'd love to. I'm in jail? What'd I do? :O I never thought I'd be one forgoing to jail, I'm not like Enkeli . I'd obviously scream RAPE as loud and clear as I can until he attempts to touch me. I'd then kick him in the genitals and hope for the best. Worst thing that can happen is I get butt-hurt. NBD!

8. You are both not from Denmark in real life, so write in 10 words max why Denmark is so awesome and why you chose to be a part of it.

yerm : I'm just here to be involved in a fun community.

Icedfire : I needed a change from Canada, great community. It's home.

I hope you all enjoyed this interview and it hopefully made your decision clearer on who you should vote for. Best of luck to both candidates; it'll be an honour fighting under whoever wins.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
