Another Danish article whining about Poland! (Old article)

So here it comes, another Denmark article crying about Poland's invasion. Mine is hopefully different.

I spent a solid half a year, the majority of this server, in South Korea. It was there that I struggled and fought hard to carve that country into a powerful global presence and make a name for ourselves. I was proud and still am proud of the things we accomplished there. I never thought I'd spend money on the game, but I spent hundreds on it there because I truly enjoyed all the awesome times I was having there. I only left to join Denmark because I wanted an opportunity to get politically involved in the game; I still maintain friendships and consider my friends in SK, some whom I've known for years from other games, as much closer friends than anyone in Denmark.

I did leave though and I can't change what I've discovered since I left.

South Korea's biggest ally was always Poland. Not just size; XenosOTK would come chat in our irc channels, would give us weapons to help us while jokingly trying to mooch korean dongs when we'd hand them out. He shared advice and support and was easily Korea's closest foreign friend. Poland's top MUs absolutely wrecked house for us and helped us obliterate USA-backed invasions from Canada on numerous occasions. For months, I considered Poland to be Korea's friend, and in many ways I still think that's true, but I've completely changed my view on Poland's aid. Poland didn't come help Korea to be friends, or to make an ally, or to build a lasting relationship that's allowed them to enjoy DPS support in night battles. That all just happened.

Poland helped Korea... to troll the USA.

That's what Poland does. They troll people. They trolled NathanP and the USA, just like they seemed almost angry that Jackist quit before they could troll The Empire.

Poland is too big, and has formed an alliance too strong, to even consider getting any sort of challenge out of combat. They certainly aren't looking for it now - they choose the sound tactical route by attacking my alliance only after we'd launched our invasion towards federation and hired mercs to help vs Sweden on top of it. It's the smart move if you want to win. Absolutely it is. Was it necessary though? I don't think so. I don't even think Poland really cares if they win, just as long as we lose. I think Mik and Xenos are going to smile, and truly appreciate this article, because they're going to spend FAR more on this invasion then they will recoup from a high stone before signing another Hungary-style nap, so these salty tears are their real reward. They're not in it for the money or the territory - they're in it for the lulz.

So here's what I'm asking:

Poland, please stop. Wipe delta out; it's fun and I like the invasion. That's not what I mean. Stop doing things like wiping us out when we're trying to keep the world from being a poland&friends vs everyoneelse that nobody (not even your allies) enjoy. Stop doing things like recruiting yet another country (brazil) who doesn't need any help when you are already meeting with success in EVERY one of your campaigns. Stop favoring these leeches riding your pubes in some pathetic show of support that you didn't need and only further divides the game.

I'm not asking you to disband VVV, but you should consider creating standards for membership and possibly tossing a country if necessary. I'm not demanding that you close recruitment either. What I want is for you to address what it is you TRULY seek in this game, and set up some solid standards and goals in order to reach towards those ambitions. Set up some actual recruitment standards in your alliance so that countries don't just join because they happen to have been hitting for you and it won't hurt. Set up military campaigns based on what you want to accomplish, not on whims that everyone knows you're just going to get bored with and give up on in another bullied NAP or rental.

More than anything though, stop turning this game into a 1v1 world. Stop doing it. It's shockingly pathetic how obvious it is to everyone on the outside why Poland gets bored. You keep doing it though, and growing bored with it... and still keep doing it. Stop and consider why it is that you guys keep doing these lulzy troll moves. Consider why your goals usually always seem to be more about hindering others than about actually strengthening your own position. After over half a year of this server it's time for you to realize that at no time, at absolutely no time ever on this server, has Poland ever truly done something risky. Maybe it's time for you guys to liven up your own country, and by extension the game you've taken control of, by actually taking a risk. Don't let me tell you what or how, just figure it out and do it for once. You may actually enjoy it!

Thanks again for all your support and good times, especially you Xenos. Enjoy my tears

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
