So you've started playing this online game. Now what? And what's this game all about? At first, there isn't much to it. But as time goes on, the game definitely takes on new dimensions that can be quite fun and fulfilling. As far as what the game is all about... this is really up to you. There are many options. For now, just read ahead and maybe you'll get some ideas as to what this game could be to you.
Day 1
For the first few days, there aren't many options. This is ok though as it gives you a chance to learn the game while you save up some money.
Get a job. - This is the most important thing you can do starting off and it will provide you with some income.
- To do this, go to the Job Market (click the link to the left or go to the Market menu and click on Job Market)
- Find a job (preferably from an employer in the eUSA - see the little flag next to their name) and click the Apply button.
- Now you can Work for your new employer by clicking the Work button. You now receive your salary.
- Be sure to click the Work button every day. Each time you work, your economy skill goes up.
- As your economy skill goes up, you become more productive in your job. This means you make more products each time you work and therefore you become more valuable to your employer.
- Some employers will gradually increase your salary as your economy skill goes up (this is good practice for employers so keep this in mind for when you own a company and have your own employees).
- You can always check the Job Market to see if there are higher paying positions available as your economy skill level goes up. Instead of changing jobs, it might be worthwhile to simply message your employer and let them know you'd like a raise. As long as you're not asking for too much, they may go ahead and work with you. Just remember, your employer is trying to make money too!
- Again, be sure to work every day! Working 30 days in a row will net you the Hard Worker medal and 5 gold!
Train - Military training increases your strength which increases the damage you do when fighting.
- To do this, go to Training (click the link to the left or go to the My places menu and click on Train)
- As you train and become more powerful, you'll do more and more damage when fighting. The more damage you do, the quicker you will go up in rank which further increases the damage you can do.
- Damage is extremely important when trying to win battles. More on fighting later in the tutorial.
- Remember to train each and every day. Not only does this help do more damage, but for every 30 days you train in a row, you achieve the Super Soldier medal and 5 gold!
Avatar - Doing this will simply give you free experience. Upload an avatar by Editing your Profile and uploading a picture to be your avatar in the game (square shaped, 200 Kb or smaller)
Congratulations! You should now be Level 2!
Fight - Now that you're level 2, you can fight. There are many nuances to fighting but for now, we'll just concentrate on doing some damage and gaining some experience points which is really all that matters for the first few days.
- To fight, go to the Battles page by clicking the link to the left or clicking on the Country menu and going to Battles.
- Select one of the battles from the list and click on its name.
- To fight, simply click the Fight (1hit) button. A window will pop up telling you how much damage you did and tell you that you've used 10 health. We will discuss health next.
- Hit the Fight button 4 more times and you will use up your remaining health.
- There are many other things on the Battle screen - some of which are self-explanatory. I will share more on fighting in a future tutorial. For now, feel free to watch for a while and see what's going on.
Health - Health is what allows you to fight. Every day you are given 50 health points. Each time you "hit" in a battle (hitting the Fight button), it costs you 10 health. So you have enough for 5 hits per day. There are addtional items that can be produced or purchased in the Market that will increase your health and allow you to do additional hits. More information will be provided on the various types of things you can do to increase health in a future tutorial. For today, lets purchase some food in the Market and do some additional fighting.
- Go to the Product Market by clicking the link to the left or by going to the Product Market under the Market menu item.
- Select Food by clicking the selection button underneath the Food picture. Then click the View offers button.
- The system will display a list of available products matching what you're looking for.
- We're looking for Food with one star (Quality 1 - this will be explained in a later tutorial). This should be the very top item in the list. Enter the number 5 in the items box and click on the Buy button. You should have enough money for this from working today. If not, reduce the number from 5 to a number that you are able to purchase.
- You now have enough food to fight 5 more times. To use food, look for the Eat Food link under your profile picture in the box on the left hand side (it's under the Citizenship flag). This will bring up a box asking for Food type. Click here and choose Q1 (stands for Quality 1). Click the Eat Food button 5 times. Each time you Click Eat Food, it will increase your health by 10. Now you're ready to fight some more.
- Go back to the Battles screen and click on a battle and hit the Fight button 5 more times.
Congratulations! You should now be Level 3!
That should be it for your first day. For the next few days, continue to Work, Train, and Fight and you will get stronger and earn some more money. It's probably best to save as much money as possible at this point. This will turn into opportunities to get into some of the other areas of the game.
In future tutorials, we will discuss the various products and what they do, companies and economics, more details about fighting, politics and elections, newspapers, military units, etc.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
