Hiya. I've decided to answer the call.

CAMPAIGN FUNDING:

I owe a very special thanks to Josey Wales who donated 5 gold to me (not lent!) in order to run in the election. Thank you Josey Wales!

ECONOMY IN CANADA:

The economy of Canada is dismal to say the least. My plan for Canada is to eventually turn it into a tax haven akin to what Norway was in Primera - zero taxes across the board. I want to see products on the market for cheap to give our local workers reasonably priced wares.

Alas, this won't be possible without a lot of congressmen who have unused proposals that they're willing to use. At the very, I want Canadians to know that I'm thinking of home.

I almost forgot to mention something important: the money market. Utilizing the money market to its maximum potential will be essential to Canada's ability to produce revenue. Of course, this is highly dependent on how popular our product market is, which is a reason why the tax haven idea is a good one.

ECONOMY IN GENERAL:

We're doing decently in general. The current administration, headed by theorules, has begun to accept non-Canadians at Canada Grain and Canada Food in an effort to make up for shortfalls in production. They are being paid about half what a Canadian gets paid, which is fair given the current job market and price of Q5 food in the USA. This initiative to get more (and cheaper) workers in order to boost production is a great idea that I plan to commit to. In fact, I've already published an advertisement on behalf of Canada Org to get the ball rolling, but there's still work to be done.

Depending on how successful the above is, we may be able to begin taking steps to expand Canadian industry beyond grain and food. One plan involves taking small, zero interest loans from Canadians willing to provide capital to start up two new companies. Committing to such a plan will require that our production of food is high enough to allow for workers to transfer to the new companies. Again, this depends on our ability to attract non-Canadians to our companies' employment.

DIPLOMACY:

Ouzobat is the man in this regard. Without him in an active role, it may be difficult as first to continue with what he has done so far. Nevertheless, it will be done.

We already have a strong ally in the USA. We held a referendum to determine whether or not to accept their alliance, and Canadians affirmed the question. We shall try to explore ways to utilize this relationship to the fullest, including working with the USA's allies to find a path that will benefit us all. (There's stuff in the works thanks to the current administration. It's top secret so to speak. )

For other nations, we shall contact them to become their acquaintances at the very least. The first step is letting them know that we're here. As it turns out, Ishabad has mentioned an ambassador program which would be good to start. Some permanent ambassadors who carry on their duties beyond the terms of office would be helpful for an incoming president and foreign affairs minister. It's a great idea.

MILITARY:

We have four MUs in Canada: Zombie Horde, Sons of Canada, the Dark Brotherhood, and the recently formed Canadian Clutch. There are a total of 60 members in those MUs, 51 of whom are Canadian. (BTW, join an MU if possible. You'll get a damage bonus.)

Edit: I will consider giving supples to who have shown consistent support to Canadian interests. This includes units whose members are not fully Canadian. Mind you this could be far away from happening as our priority will be improving our economy. That often means being thrifty rather than generous.

(I still want to find a way to promote MUs that give preference to fellow Canadians, but how? We only have 51 people in an MU, so we definitely need more spots for the rest.)

We will live up to the expectations of our allies, and we will expect them to return the favor. Doing this will prove that we are an ally worth keeping (or acquiring). Negotiations in the future may rely on what we do now.

PROPAGANDA:

I tend to write quite a bit to begin with, so it won't be a stretch for me to begin doing articles for a national newspaper. That costs gold, so I may choose to simply use my own newspaper and save the national treasury from needless spending.

At the very least, I'm considering names for the official state newspaper. "The Canada Gazette" would be fitting as it has a real life counterpart. Otherwise, I was thinking "The Canadian Official" as a sort of pun on it being both the official newspaper of Canada as well as the newspaper of the top elected official. Kind of lame (which I personally like), but I'm open to suggestions.

Choosing the name of the state newspaper probably doesn't deserve a contest, but choosing other national symbols through a contest may be a good way to get some nice contributions from the community. There could be (small) prizes involved. Let me know what you think of this idea. I'll toss it in a can if it's not a good idea.

Propaganda isn't just a matter of internal affairs. As expressed before, we need to spread the image of Canadians as being good allies and employers worth working for. I really hope to get some competent people to work with who will help build up Canada's image.

THE TICKET:

I have much of my cabinet ready in case I'm elected.

However, I'd still like to see volunteers who I may not know much about for any holes that may need to be filled.

I want two things from applicants: (a) the role that you're interested or what you can contribute to our nation specifically, and (b) how you think to best fulfill that role/contribution. This doesn't have to be complicated; I just want to see if you have confidence in your ability to accomplish something. I want you to be motivated. (It may also help your case if you have experience from Primera, but this isn't absolutely necessary.)

I still need VP (a Deputy Prime Minister, that is). If I'm not available, he or she takes on all of my responsibilities. This should probably be someone in congress already. Any takers?

FINAL WORDS:

This was just a quick write-up, so I may be missing something that should be obvious. I hope these aren't actually my final words - that would be lame.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
