Hello & Good Evening eUSA,

Why has America failed?

Tonight I thought I would bring to you, the American people, a little insight beyond the Congressional walls. Very rarely do you get to see or hear what is actually happening behind closed doors outside of what the government wants you to see or hear. I will be throwing a small wrench into that formula tonight in hopes of giving you a better understanding of those you have elected into power.

Too often, the American public get the blame for the failures of this country -- both from politicians in the US and from citizens abroad. Let me explain to you why, in part, this is an unfair and misguided judgment.

The very fiber and existence of politics is built around the premise of influencing other people. And you can not dream of influencing other people if you choose not to ACT. Therefore, we can deduct that politics is all about people taking action.

Now, let's pose the question again. Why has America failed?

It's easy... The politics have broken down, the politicians are no longer acting. Those who are in and remain in power choose to do nothing, and as a result, America has become nothing.

As a Congressman, all we can really do is advise and bring up suggestions that may or may not be implemented. Even if all Congressmen reach a conclusion on a certain action, it doesn't get brought to life until someone with higher authority actually ACTS on those conclusions.

I refuse to out my fellow Congressmen completely, and the discussions in general we have will remain secret. However, I can tell you what I tried and failed to bring to the table during my first term as a Congressman.

>> How about a public forum for our citizens in order to keep them informed and educated? The result is agreement but little gets worked on. I have experience owning and running a forum with fellow Congressmen Axiomatic , and my offering of our services to set it up was ignored.

>> We need to stop littering our shoutbox with garbage that should either stay in the Congressional forums, or in PMs. We need other countries to want to help us... We don't need to feed them and give them a reason to dislike us. The result was a general agreement, but few rogue Congressmen continue the practice, for whatever reason.

>> We need to raise gold. How about we print a bunch of USD and sell them for very cheap on the US Market as a means for our citizens to invest in us. The result are two laws passing to print and donate the USD, but they don't reach the monetary market until MUCH MUCH later (which I will get to, as well).

>> What if we stayed alliance mutual? We stay unaligned with everyone, but agree to help them in an effort to great good karma. Diplomacy is huge in this game, and the relationships you form will take you far. The result was multiple alliance polls and Congressmen leaking to other alliances who America preferred, why, and that Alliance X was out of the running. Good show, old sport .

>> We need to stop thinking about ourselves. Our own freedom for the time being must be put on hold as we listen and follow alliance lines to prove ourselves. The result is a full out attack on Alaska with 3+ uncoordinated drains spread in Lithuanian occupations with no ally support and the US getting manhandled. Nobody has taken credit for this, and to my knowledge most other Congressmen were confused and had no knowledge of this full out assault.

>> After becoming free, the American economy was thrown out of flux. The USD rose, unnaturally, beyond the means of it's worth. It was suggested to then place USD on the market at a much lower price as a means to normalize the economy. If the US freedom was merely a ploy to get rich, at least when we lose our territories, our enemies won't be swimming in gold. The result was the Department of Defense keeping prices above minimum to squeeze as much gold out of people as possible. While my suggestion to print USD many days prior resulted in a profit of approximately +45 gold for the US, I can't help feeling betrayed as I was the one telling citizens to buy the DoD stock of USD under the assumption that the price would be brought down. My colleagues had broken their trust with me, and I had broken my trust with the American people. I remain ashamed.

I will not and can not take credit for all of these suggestions. I pull the best of the best from our community. Eddy Rayback mentioned the possibility of the dollar bubble bursting, and I took it to Congress. In a short-lived act of non-trolling, Erronius mentioned the shoutbox negativity, and it had merit.

Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that American may not be worth saving. One day, I hope America can truly regain their freedom. Although, it is probably more likely that the next time Lithuania does not hold the US, it will be another nation swooping in for the prized regions this country has to offer, and not the Americans gaining freedom.

There is a small and devout core of people in the United States who make decisions for the country. That group, excluding a lot of Congressmen, choose to do nothing. They choose not to act, but to sit by and hope for the best.

America's only hope is to bring about change in the structure of the government and to forcefully bring about the end of the laissez faire way of doing things. America desperately needs and readily deserves to have people in charge who are not afraid to ACT.

With that said, I have failed the American people. I have failed to bring about the change I promised when running for Congress three weeks ago. Thus, regrettably, I must announce that I will not be running for a second term as Congressmen of the United States.

I had my chance, and I did little with it. Now it's your turn...

I open the floor to you, my colleagues and citizens on the United States. Is our fair nation even worth saving? Could we do more good elsewhere? What would you do differently? Do you choose to ACT or merely stand by and do nothing -- as your politicians do.

Thank You & Goodnight,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
