USA Alliance Membership Consideration (Old article)

At this time, The USA needs to join an alliance. While I would absolutely love to stay independent and not join forces with any global power, the state of esim politics does not allow this to take place. For the sake of the country's future we MUST throw our lot in somewhere.

I am asking that USA citizens inform me of their opinion so that I can make an informed decision. You are welcome to pm me if you wish to keep your thoughts private. Non-USA citizens, including people who have left and no longer have citizenship, should make their comments/responses public. I will attempt to lay out our options as straightforward as I can. If you notice any glaring bias or obvious flaws in my post please point them out to me and I will edit the article immediately!

1. Let The Weapons Talk

Ltwt is the largest and arguably most powerful alliance. Their membership base is quite substantial and they wield considerable global power. The advantages of membership would include being part of a powerhouse that should have no difficulty keeping america safe. The disadvantages would include being just another member, and any resentment felt by current citizens against the former occupiers of the country.

ltwt sc:
Yerm my friend just last night we talked about inviting you into our alliance (ofc only if you want it) we would expect help when needed and you will be given help if needed . Everything else is disscused on the alliance channel as the situation unfolds.
Regards Demeratus SC of lTwT

Ltwt seems open to the prospect of the USA joining and I am confident if the majority of US citizens wanted in, we could get in, and be a productive and contributing member of this alliance.

2. Dynasty

Dynasty is arguably the second most powerful alliance, a bit smaller than ltwt and centered heavily around poland and south korea. Dynasty would offer a reliable group where the usa would appear to fit right in, but would put us heavily into the political sphere of polish and south korean interests, and almost guarantee the usa ever had the position it once held as the dominant player in its politcal circle, for better or worse.

dynasty sc:
I understand the US is wary of joining alliances in fear they will want something in return. When you asked earlier in the week about joining I proposed it to the other nations and most couldnt see a reason to veto the US completely, but some reinsurance they can help secure battles would be good.

If the USA would like to join Dynasty I would recommend they start helping us in our battles across the globe to show good will towards the countries of Dynasty. We have an upcomming campaign I can discuss the details with yerm if you so choose to partake.

While I cannot be certain of membership acceptance, I believe if the usa applied itself as a country we could make it in. Frankly, if the usa can't perform well enough to join any alliance despite its overwhelming wealth, we don't deserve anything! Because dynasty supported the usa previously and is engaged in wars against nonaligned foes, we are currently helping south korea rather heavily anyway.

3. Delta

Delta, which I was a heavily involved leader in before coming to the usa, is probably the tightest-knit and most organized alliance (or at least was when I left) and offers a great deal in the way of activity and participation. Delta is not really on the same level as ltwt or dynasty in terms of strength, which would be good for the usa standing apart as a strong member but bad if we needed a heavy amount of support. Joining delta would allow the usa to be part of an organized group that favors heavy activity and promotes a good deal of extra-game friendships and gaming, but would come at the cost of lost autonomy and the need to sacrifice the country's future in order to be part of a group that works as a single politcal body.

I have no real quote for delta; I am in constant chats with their leaders so nothing in particular is going to stand out. If the usa is willing to operate on behalf of the alliance as much as for itself, and give up personal pursuits and accept that loss of individual power, we could very much join Delta and be part of the team.

4. Federation

Fed is another smaller alliance in the realm of Delta in strength, but with which I have significantly less experience. Overall the USA has enjoyed a considerable amount of fed support recently - they were the biggest contributors during the vvv era to attempts at freeing the usa - and they continued to show support during my term. The advantage to fed would be joining a welcoming group that has helped the country in the past and could therefore be easily counted on to continue respecting and supporting american interests. With joining fed would come the aforementioned drawback of a smaller alliance vs a larger one, as well as fed's political platform currently aligning them as pro-ltwt meaning that any arguments in favor of ltwt could probably apply here, and objections to helping ltwt would of course apply to fed (for now) too.

I am extremely confident that we could join Federation. They seem wholeheartedly supportive of our prospective membership.

Please take the time to reply to me, whether here or in private. If you plan to stick around in this country this decision has a huge impact on your game experience and you don't want me to make it ignorant of your personal concerns!

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
