Equipment module has been with us for more than 6 Months now. The prices have fallen. Items go for 40-50% of the price they would have gone the first week. The 3 items I posted above were worth 150-200g the first week. The reason for that is because people were only looking at the quality of items 1-5, not at the actual stats which matter. When most of the people realized all Q5 Items aren't good so the prices started falling and with it the numbers of crappy items in game. At the end no one with common sense will buy them because they are useless (crappy items like the 3 above). You can merge "bad" Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4 Items, but what can you do with bad Q5 Item? Nothing.
There are 2 possible solutions to this problem.

I would open an item vendor (only for selling). Under the market tab you would see another option Item vendor. There will be an option to sell your Q5 Item for a pre-fixed price. It costs 9g to merge 3xQ4 Items into one Q5. So I would suggest the price of 12g. Price consists of merging price + 1g per item merged. When a player sells item to this vendor it gets removed from the game and the player gets 12g.There are multiple benefits of my suggestion. There will be less crappy/bad Q5 Items and the other Q5 Items would achieve their purpose. With higher item level should come quality but it is not always like that. Good Q2,Q3 Item is better than bad Q5 Item. If we remove bad Q5 Items only good will remain. And only than they will represent the high standard that all other Q5 Things do (Q5 Food>Q1 Food///Q5 Weapon>Q1 Weapon...). Also the admin could make some new achievements for selling Equipment to Item vendor. I can think of at least one. Put that crap away! Player sold at least 15 pieces of Q5 Equipment to Item vendor.
Why not downgrade?
The downgrading of Q5 Items into new 3xQ4 or 2xQ4 Items would cause flood of Q4 Items on Auctions, price falling would occur and it will take time to stabilize the prices again.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
