The last nine months have certainly been interesting. In that time, empires- such as Polish Western Europe, American Manifest Destiny, and United Lietuva- rose and fell; super-alliances formed, conquered, and crumbled; powerful players like daShDoT, Speedy, and Xtreme_Terror dominated the battlefield, only to ultimately be defeated by the game. But there was always one constant during that time: Korea and Taiwan were at war, and for most of it, Korea totally occupied Taiwan.
It all began when Taiwan, then a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn alliance, engaged a three-front war against Korea with their allies Canada and China. Despite their significant initial advantage, the war quickly went south for the aggressors as Korea and its allies were able to effectively out-strategize OGD leadership. Once the tide had turned, Korea began its march on Taiwan, and after a couple weeks of back-and-forth fighting, Korea finally succeeded in conquering Taiwan on Day 97. As President of Korea then, I decided on that day that we would never allow Taiwan back on the map. It would be our symbol of what happens to any country that crosses us and thinks that they can get away with it. And for the longest time, that’s exactly what it was.
In the following days, weeks, and months, many serious attempts were made by Taiwan and its allies to wriggle control of their regions from Korean occupation, but every single one of them resulted in failure. Poor timing of the launch of the resistance wars, poor buff management, and poor communication amongst those fighting for the resistance always doomed those attempts before they even began. And so for 243 days, Koreans claimed Taiwan as its own, marking every successful resistance defense as a testament to how better the nation was prepared than all those that they faced on the battlefield.
But on the 242nd day, when Taiwan launched a resistance war in Penghu, it quickly became apparent that Korea had finally met its match in preparedness. By launching the war in the right region, Penghu (as opposed to Taipei, which was no longer the single bridge to Korea), at the right time (night time for the bulk of the North American-based Korean population), instructing their fighters to begin stacking their food/gift limits days earlier to give them a significant advantage, stocking up heavy weapons, importing several alliance fighters to their country, and finally- launching the resistance on the day ncekimo (who accounts for basically half of all Taiwanese player damage on his own) began his buff cycle, Taiwan had made all the right moves. Koreans acknowledged that the cost of defense this time would be too great, and withdrew from the battlefield.
And so finally, in the early hours of Day 340: Taiwan conquered Penghu in the battle versus South Korea. Taiwan was free.
Now, several days after the liberation of Taiwanese iron and one final skirmish between the two countries, the war has been brought to an end as well .
In typical Drago fashion, I’m already tired of writing, so I just want to say thank you to all of Korea’s allies (especially Poland and Malaysia) that helped defend our “core” Taiwanese regions, and thank you to all of those we met on the battlefield there for creating a challenge for us and pushing our competitive spirit. And I know a lot of bad things have been done or said between Koreans and Chinese/Taiwanese, but at the end of the day I respect Taiwanese players for sticking through the eight months of occupation and never giving up fighting. You had every reason to quit the game, but you did not, and now I hope you enjoy the reward of you efforts.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
