Hey, 'sup. Acting on behalf of Canada Org because I haven't given it an official newspaper yet.

I want to give Canada Org's workers (who are employed at either Canada Grain or Canada Food) a pay increase beyond 10 Q5 Food. Right now, I'm not quite sure how to go about doing this.

We have two main options: (1) starting two new companies (one raw and one manufacturing) to go beyond the production of food alone; and, (2) trading our surplus Q5 Food for other products. In addition to these two options, we have sub-options regarding the type of product we should be producing/trading for.

My Commentary:

Starting two new companies costs a significant amount of gold. Although we can afford it right now, our government would lose a huge chunk of money that could go towards the operation of government, which may include some declarations of war in the future. As such, I would recommend that we find trade partners who will exchange our Q5 food for another product. Some Canadians are currently mulling over starting their own companies, and we could arrange a deal with them for a consistent supply of their product.

Regarding the type of product, I really want to hear your opinions. I did a quick calculation (using rough estimates mind you) and found that our production could be used to achieve maximum damage by trading our food for weapons rather than gifts. We could probably trade to get 10 Q2 gifts for our workers daily, which would result in a 40% increase in damage (and experience) over 10 Q5 food alone. You could get 23.75 Q1 weapons for the same price as 10 Q2 gifts, which would result in a 66.5% increase of damage (but no additional experience).

If we choose to focus on maximizing damage over all else, then we could trade away an extra 2 Q5 food per worker to get more weapons. Again, this would be less experience, but higher damage. Each worker would get 8 Q5 food. Alternatively, we could trade down to 10 Q4 food per worker to get the same number of hits (and experience) as 8 Q5 food in addition to a little more cash which could be used to buy even more weapons.

If we choose gifts, then we could do something similar to the idea above by trading down to 10 Q4 food and upgrading to 10 Q3 gifts, but that wouldn't actually be any better than 10 Q5 food and 10 Q2 gifts. I haven't done the numbers for this, but I suspect that we would not be able to make the jump from Q2 gifts to Q4 gifts (which is the only way we could increase our experience potential) without sacrificing on the food side of the equation.

Your Opinions:

As I said, I want to hear your opinions. These aren't our only options, but they're the ones I believe we should be choosing from. We can either choose to focus on gaining experience (gifts) or doing damage (weapons).

There is also the matter of whether we should start up companies to produce our supply of additional product ourselves, or trade. In this regard, I very strongly recommend the trade option at this juncture. When our per worker productivity has gone up, that's when I believe we should seriously take a look at starting new companies. Still, if you feel strongly one way or the other, let me know.

If we decide that we want to maximize damage completely, then we'd have to sacrifice some extra food so that our workers would only receive 8 Q5 food (or 10 Q4 food) but more weapons. If we were to take the weapons option, do you think we should sacrifice food supply for damage maximization?

Let me hear your comments,

- Jamada

P.S. Comments from all Canadians are appreciated, but I will only be giving weight to the opinions of Canada Org's employees to come to a decision regarding this matter - they are the ones who are being paid after all.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
