Diberitakan Kompas.com sebelumnya, gempa bisa memicu tsunami dengan ketinggian gelombang antara 2-4 meter. Analisis sementara menunjukkan, gelombang tsunami yang merambat bisa mencapai Jayapura dalam waktu sekitar 22 jam sejak gempa terjadi.
Jarak pusat gempa Cile hari ini dengan Jayapura mencapai lebih dari 16.000 km. Bagaimana bisa gelombang tsunami mencapai jarak yang begitu jauh? Lalu, seberapa parah tsunami yang mungkin bisa terjadi di Jayapura?
Pakar kegempaan dari Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT), Widjo Kongko, mengungkapkan bahwa jauhnya jangkauan gelombang tsunami terkait dengan sifat gelombang tsunami itu sendiri.
"Gelombang tsunami itu panjang," katanya saat dihubungi Kompas.com, hari ini. Dengan panjang gelombang yang besar, gelombang tsunami irit energi sehingga bisa merambat hingga jarak yang begitu jauh.
Dalam sejarah, terdapat beberapa gempa yang memicu tsunami dalam rentang wilayah yang luas, di antaranya gempa Cile pada tahun 1960, gempa Aceh pada tahun 2004, serta gempa Jepang pada tahun 2011.
"Gempa Cile tahun 1960, tsunaminya bisa mencapai Jepang. Ini trans-oceanic," kata Widjo. Tsunami mencapai Jepang 22 jam setelah kejadian gempa. Warga Jepang tak tahu apa sebab tsunami.
Tsunami seperti yang terjadi di Jepang saat itu sering disebut orphan tsunami. Artinya, tsunami terjadi, tetapi gempa yang memicunya tak diketahui atau tak dirasakan langsung oleh warga yang terdampak.
Gempa Aceh tahun 2004 sendiri memicu tsunami hingga wilayah India dan Afrika yang berjarak ribuan kilometer. Tsunami Jepang gelombangnya mencapai Filipina, perairan Sulawesi, dan Papua.
Gempa di Cile hari ini mengingatkan bahwa gempa laut yang dangkal bisa memicu kejadian tsunami hingga jarak yang jauh. Tsunami di Indoensia tak cuma bisa dipicu oleh gempa di negerinya sendiri, tetapi juga wilayah lain seperti Jepang dan Filipina yang juga rawan gempa.

You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
