Hi, it's me. I have resigned as CP for couple reasons, mostly relating to time management.

My reign of terror has come to an end. I want to thank everyone who voted for me and ignored (or tolerated) the fact that I am such a newb sometimes (often). I also give thanks to those who helped me run government including cabinet members, congress members and others who helped me miscellaneous ways ( colmc deserves a special nod for his help in keeping the CAD relatively stable throughout my term). Also, props to our allies.

Anyways, I had a congress member ( Junbug as it turns out) propose that I be impeached. I won't be able to run for election next month because I have prior engagements in its last week. While I could have stayed on and run again (to resign before the last week of next month rather than this month), I felt that with war, Canada would be better served with a CP who will be dedicated to the cause (and won't get his butt handed to him like me). His heart is in this fight, so he'll be the man to get the job done.

I speak, of course, of OwenHargreaves who acted as Minister of Foreign Affairs during my administration. As the runner up in the last election, he became CP automatically after my impeachment. He'll be aiming for a large degree of continuity for this last stretch of the CP's term, but I'm sure he'll be changing things up a bit if he wins the general election next month. We'll just have to see, won't we?

I am of course ready to continue my service as a public official, but with less official duties. I will be running for congress (as its term ends just as my prior arrangements begin) and will be able to take on a cabinet position if offered. I could even handle continue to handle Canada Org for a period of time. If not, that's fine too. I, despite my protests that I am in fact an anti-social shut-in with no friends or life beyond this game, do have a life beyond this game.

I don't believe that my actions as CP were perfect by any means, but I believe that our nation has been able to progress in various ways.

Since this article is doubling as a resignation speech of sorts as well as my presentation for election to congress, I should probably say how I'd make a good congressman. Well, I won't. If you haven't gotten a good impression of me by now (perhaps you got a bad one), then it's unlikely that any words I say now will change your mind. I will however promise to donate gold to either the treasury or to Canada Org (2 gold, to match what I believe members of the PPC are going to donate).

Hasta la vista, baby,

- Jamada

P.S. If this is it for my career in politics, then I can live with that. If I'm not elected I wish well to those are elected.

P.P.S. By the way, take a look at the laws page to see who voted regularly. We could do worse than elect those people who voted regularly. So if you don't vote for me, do consider one of them as an alternative.

P.P.P.S. I 'm disorganized with my writing, aren't I? Anyways... also make sure take a look at the presentations. I won't say that people who don't provide presentations aren't worth voting for (they could be very good in congress for all I know), but it could be an indication that they aren't very motivated. Actually, vote for whoever you want. It's your vote after all.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
