Today, I announce my candidacy for the Presidency of the United States. I have been serving as President again for about a week. This article describes my thoughts on the past, present, and future.
Reflections on Recent Events
When Taiwan declared war on the United States, things quickly went wrong. Many of our allies abandoned us and became enemies. USA forces had declined in fighting strength over the prior months, and the President was largely absent. I began funding RWs, purchasing supplies, and hiring mercenaries with personal funds. Needless to say, keeping the USA unoccupied was expensive.
I also became involved in coordinating Trinity's affairs, and I was elected Supreme Commander of Trinity. We have stabilized the alliance and added new members to replace those who betrayed us. After the prior President had been absent from IRC for a week, I was elected President of USA by congress. In that capacity, I have secured a peace treaty with China and Taiwan. While the price of the NAP was high, the price of continued war was higher. The NAP gives us time to rebuild and regroup while helping our allies.
USA recently embraced a revolutionary way of financing the purchase of supplies. Instead of selling USD for Gold and then using the Gold to purchase supplies, USA is now purchasing supplies directly with USD . Further details can be found here . If our bond program takes off, we will be able to purchase far more supplies at lower cost to the government than before the change in financing method. We have already restored our supplies to normal operating levels, and we will continue to amass a stockpile. The change in the MM has already encouraged people to sell on the USA market, which is reducing prices for consumers.
We have also increased communication levels with the American public, and the number of articles posted by Americans has risen greatly in the last week. This is a good first step towards reaching the level of activity needed to once again become an e-sim superpower.
Next Steps
I intend to focus on 4 areas in the upcoming terms.
Territories
We will reclaim our traditional territories of Canada and Mexico. I would like to work out a rental agreement or some other arrangement so that the drain RWs do not effect us greatly. Ideally, we would form a joint military structure where Canada and Mexico MUs are eligible for supplies from
Population
We need a proper babyboom. Our prior ad campaign was successful in getting many people to register; however, many did not return for a second day. In the future, we will need to have mentors ready and programs in place to help them level up quickly. We need more players if we want to continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
Organization
When I started, the government basically consisted of 3-4 people doing everything, which of course meant that very little was done. I have already begun separating out roles (for instance, Finance, Purchasing, and Supplying), but there is a lot more to be done. Ideally, the government should run at full speed with each official only putting in a few minutes each day.
Diplomacy
While Trinity is in good shape at the moment, we need to solidify what the post-SHIELD world will look like. Once we have planned for the future, it will be easier to achieve it. We need to provide China and Taiwan outlets for expansion that do not threaten Trinity members.

About the game:
USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
