What is a NAP ?
NAP stands for Non Agression Pact. When you have a NAP between countries, normally it signifies that these members will cease fire each other ( not necessary ending a open-war status in E-Sim ), and obey some rules so that war between them don't start over again, in a determined period of time.
So you people see it. Pact. Formal agreement. A written and openly published contract. So all people involved are monitored and restricted by everyone who sees the published document. That's why you make sure there are penalties on the document too.
Really? Conversations and promises in private that were not part of the official document, to be used as argument that others broke the NAP? One who breaks a NAP should be one who disobeys the rules that are on the paper.
So, who are the ones who disobeyed the NAP's conditions?
Of course, if what paparos3 said are true, Hungary and Turkey didn't do their part in his plans, and that's all. They may lose some respect and so, but have no punishment regarding the NAP.
A funny part is, he didn't publish the part of the conversation where Hungarian and Turkish representatives agreed.
As seen in the NAP, China and Taiwan are only restricted to not fight against Lithuania in case there are Resistance Wars in Lithuania. That means that China and Taiwan could actually defend Poland in a direct war between Poland and Lithuania. No Poland nor direct wars not initiated by China or Taiwan are mentioned.
Why didn't we do some damage in Poland vs Lithuania wars? Because this is something “under the table”. If Chinese and Taiwanese dealt sufficient damage in these wars, Lithuania could also deal significant damage for Romania and Iran. And this is more of a respect to the cease-fire decision made by these countries' leaders too.
B. Territories
12. As set forth below, the parties to this NAP agree "not to interfere" with the acts of other parties in certain territories. By agreeing "not to interfere" in a territory, a party agrees not to:
(1) start, fund, or fight in a resistance war in the territory;
(2) assign, supply, hire, or encourage a MU (including mercenaries) to fight in a battle in the territory;
(3) supply, fund, or support a civil war in the territory; or
(4) enter into a MPP with the territory.
13. USA and Lithuania agree not to interfere with China in Russia.
This is actually a really smart move. It was not a resistance war, so USA, even jackist participating in it, won't be violating the rules. Now if there is any mercenary, we never know, nor have any way to prove it.
That's why I want to call Chinese and Taiwanese people to calm down, and see this NAP as still valid.
However, yeah, it doesn't feel that good for us. And it also mentions that, in case of a really rare chance of any country attacking USA, China and Taiwan can go for it. We don't need that caution anymore, like with Lithuania.
And this is why a NAP should always be simple and clear, however cautiously signed, to avoid problems like this.
post scriptum
Despite all these tension between people after some Lithuanians and Americans in Chinese battles, I'd like to remind everyone of one thing.
When you play a game, you play it for fun.
You may not agree on many decisions, you may just want to go and break the guy's third leg in pieces, but hey, calm down. Breaking a NAP, or looking for breaches in it, so to violate it and go to war just because you are angry, won't get you anywhere.
This game isn't just about conquering and being conquered, right?
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
