[message to UN] Life in Korea: p1 (Old article)

Hello UN and hopeful charity owners, I am Fruitcommando and this is my story. I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Korongo, also known as South Korea. It is unknown why it called this as North Korea is far to the east in Asia, while SK is on the western coast of Africa and next to the great lake of Drago (named after our glorious dictator). It is also unknown how Canada shares a border with us, but this is for another time.

I was born in Jeolla, known for its export of African weaved baskets which are bought as a commodity by those in Poland to seem cultured. My illegitimate Father who brought me into this world is a successful politician, businessman and war hero who if acknowledged me would spread success to me as well; but this is not the case. I had seen him once in our weekly hail Drago parades which they ride floats over the broken backs of young children in the area, usually mixed with Canadians.

Though it may seem nice for an African country on the outside with all these parades and cultural baskets, It is a corrupt hovel full of narcissistic warlords who continually spawn new kin and disregard them. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the children we have now is product of Drago or his administration members' promiscuous behavior. I risk my life even saying this in fact, so I hope even if the UN finds this on my dead corpse, they will one day bring first world values to this third world hellhole. Food is scarce and though they get many diamonds in our country It does not seem to produce any wealth for the citizens within, Instead Indonesian crime bosses have exclusive rights over the diamond production, and commonly enslave children such as myself to do forced labor to find these items. The Malaria outbreak has claimed many people, though as Africans we are building immunity, I believe we use it as a self defense vs the Canadian invaders - It's like they show up and immediately die to Malaria and someone claims the credit for killing them to get prestige in the military. Speaking of the Military, our "military" is like a private group of mercenaries who would open fire on their own people if Dictator Drago declared it.

I once tried to get into the military to join the military junta we have, but it appears I was too frail due to my lack of nourishment to join (result of our lack of food). I still hold high hopes, since it would be my only escape from this life I am leading if this message to the UN does not reach you. Though I should not complain, my employer is one of the best in all of Korea. I believe he may make me general manager of the emailing center (Prince of NiKorea inc), oh how joyous my life would be if I was promoted! However my fortunate employment position is not the same for many of the citizens here, many do not have a job and start to slowly decay in pit of poverty. I only hope that one day Drago will stop using the lake dedicated to his honor to hide the dead bodies of those who have starved to death to keep up the image of being a good country, and clean it up so we can have a fishing industry or at least some fresh water. I have learned though, you should not have dreams in such a country as this for they will always forsake your mind. I once knew a man who developed insanity in fact, he lived in a hut next to mine. He shouted something about Dictator Drago performing experiments on the citizens, our dictator may not be the best but I do not believe he would do this. Though come to think of it the man was taken away by the military...

This is all I can think of to say on the subject and I will keep updating you on how life in Korea is right now. United Nations, I hope this message reaches you but if it does not I will continue sending messages until we receive help.

Thank you,
Fruitcommando

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
