Presidential Run [ENG] (Political)

To the Czech Republic:

Elections are incoming on the 5th of the month, and people are putting up their nominations now. So the question is, what makes me stand out from the other candidates? It is critical during this time that our first government has the proper organization and constructive synergy to make decisions as a whole, not as just a president dictating the people.

My cabinet remains the same as the preliminary announcement:

Prezident / President:
Kitsune Cavalry
Vicepresident / Vice president:
Chelsis
Ministerstvo zahraničních věcí / Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
Qwin
Ministerstvo obrany / Ministry of Defense:
Ministerstvo populace / Ministry of Population:
Koalice

On IRC, I had offered AnteHercegovac to be Minister of Defense, since he was saving up money to build an MU and he said he had decided not to run for president, but it appears he has changed his mind last minute. I find it a rather unfortunate result.
Chelsis is a real life Czech, who I picked as my vCP to assist in any Czech translations and filling in for me when I am asleep. I am in America in a very far-off different time zone, so it works out quite nicely. Qwin is a Czech who is currently a Slovak citizen in e-Sim, and he has a lot of political experience. He will, thus, be useful for establishing ties with Slovakia, who we are bound to get a lot of immigrants from, and for the general big neighbors in the Germanic-Slavic area.

We still need more citizens to fill the other cabinet slots, and if you so wish to help, you are free to comment below or PM me. I am also considering forming a Minister of the Interior to protect the Czech Republic from early political takeovers. That is probably the largest threat to small nations starting up like ours.

Goals and explanation:

As I have stated before, my main goals for the presidency is

--increase political competition
--encourage more manufacturing goods production
--tightly monitor and streamline the citizenship process in tandem with Congress
--establish diplomatic ties and national security
--protect early business with moderate tariffs

A lot of our potential player base lies in Slovaks who are Czech in real life who now want to repatriate here. So letting their financial and political capital in would be prudent. UltimateSoldier wishes to sign MPPs with many countries, but that will prove impossible without any cash with which to do so, not to mention that our money would be better served in assistance programs for the Czech people, in the beginning at least. He also suggests raising the minimum wage, but given the low economic skill of our current citizens, this would prove disastrous for the economy. That, and we only have 1 real company based in Southern Bohemia right now.

Both candidates claim that they will "fix" the economy, but there is nothing that is broken. We must be careful that the government does not intervene too much into business and strong-arm small business in the Czech Republic. I have spent my capital to allow for workers to have a higher wage and to kick start our food production. Without any business in the Czech Republic, our currency will flow out to foreign companies; this is not bad in itself, but it means our economy will find no means to grow. As a real life economist, I recognize that one of the great strengths of this game, and of the old eRepublik, is that there is a productivity formula and that economic skill is measurable. A country's economic growth has to be in line with the productivity of its citizens, and if all of our citizens have to leave the country to find jobs, this is an irresponsible, easily preventable result.

The only real policy with taxes I want is a very minimal income tax (if it needs to be changed at all) and some import taxes to keep us competitive with foreign goods in the Czech Republic, at least until we can get our industry up on our feet.

As my final point in this section, we need more political competition. "National Party of Czech" is not exactly a promising name for a party. We need serious representation if we do not want the illusion of democracy in our Congress. I am not discouraging patriotism in the name of that party, only the irksome English grammar.

About me:

My parents are from South Korea, coming out of the dictatorship under Park Chung-Hee to America, where me and my siblings were born. I played eRepublik in high school (when the game used to be good) and served in multiple governments and diplomatic assignments before coming to e-Sim at the request of a friend to help ensure a stable government. Currently, I am graduated with a B.A. in economics and am the president of the Czech Republic in eRepublik. I have some very rudimentary understanding of Czech that I learned at my university that I hope to use to assist in welcoming new players in here.

To those who say I am a PTOer for the Slovaks, let me make it clear. Slovakia can take us over by force if they so wish. They don't need to PTO us. My goal is to have that not happen and to work peacefully with them, hence my emphasis on foreign policy with them.

I founded the Czech Social Democrats and Fox Grain to show that I am serious about supporting the Czech Republic in its endeavors. I strongly believe in fair and free democracy and hope to foster such a spirit in this nation. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my platform, and as with Vaclav Havel, I hope you send me to your beautiful castle.

Warmest regards,
"Milos"

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
