Welcome to this brand new newspaper. Me, who is writing this, is a completely new player, have never heard of the game until a couple hours ago when it first caught my attention in a forum post on a web-site far far away.

This is an introductory post, about what is going to come up in the future. Contain your enthusiasm for now, but I'm hoping this will become an interesting read both now and in the future.

The Newpaper is going to be extremely opinionated, completely subjective, totally disregarding anything and containing everyting.

This is the journal of a new player, making an entrence onto an unknown scene, without a clue how the audience is going to react.

Welcome, to Confessions of a Newbie

My first hour in this game was confusing beyond belief. First thing I did was checking out stats. I like stats. But I didn't understand a thing. I came to the conclusion it's probably because I don't know the first thing about the game yet.

So what did I do? I went to a battle. Not knowing what to do, I pressed a few buttons and suddenly I got to the next level. I though, "Hey, that's probably what I need to do in this game, I'm gonna be the best". Pressing yet another few buttons, I realised, "oh shit", there's probably more to it.

Then my insticts told me, start googling. So I did, and I found way too much iformation for my own best. I read everything I could, and learned less than I knew before. I slowly realised that it was going to take a long time to master the game, and that was fine with me. After all, it seemed like a game that took a while to play.

I'm going to keep this first post short, since I have much more to learn and explore before I can pour more of my soul out in this text, but I'm going to share a few things that might help new players such as me, and make a few old players such as not me, laugh.

Traveling.

Noone ever knew how hard traveling could be. I wanted to explore the world, not knowing anyting about anything. Thought it was a good idea. Until I had to find out how to travel. Oh the woes, it took me 30 minutes of scrutinising the entire web-site, and 20 minutes of googling, before I realised how simple it was. I tried the maps, tried the battle thing, even tried the market to get ticket.

Then, suddenly, I notice, right next to my current location, is a text saying "Travel".
Damn it I thought, it is way too obvious.

I proceeded to travel, went to a few places and explored. Just to realise, oh, it costs tickets, Iand I have no more.

Stuck in Finland I decide, well, here's where my company will be. And so it was decided. Not from clever thinking or thorough planning. From coincidence and lazyness.

More things will come and more things will be written.

The writing will evolve and will discuss and open discussions about everything, but mostly it will present my view of the game as a newbie.

Subscribe if you like, I think there's a possibility for it (read it somewhere) and I'll answer any questions and accept any help.

Lastly, if you see me in the trafficjam somewhere, don't honk, because I'm probably already pissed of.

Sincerely.

Masho

And for the general population, here's some pics, which everyone seems to post. Hot girl comming up.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
