Welcome to the 2nd issue of State of the World. If you do not already know, State of the World is a newspaper that is examines the political situation of the world by looking at territorial changes, interviewing politicians, and doing Political Spotlights on a certain country each issue. Last week's Political Spotlight was the U.S.A., this week it is Serbia.

Disclaimer: Although I try for accuracy, the information may not be 100% correct, please be aware of that fact.

Currently there haven been no Territorial Changes (that I know of) since the last issue, so I will move on to the Political Spotlight.

Let's move on to our first Interview.

Interview: Tiger Style
----------------------------------

Tiger Style is a current Congress Member of the U.S. and a member of the We The People party. His Secura Birthday is Day 1. He is also an Imperator Caesar and leads the prestigious Bankai Family MU. We managed to contact him for a short interview.

Question 1: Why/When did you join e-Sim?

I joined back in Primera Day 63, I believe, which was quite a few years ago now. I'd originally joined because another game similar to this one had sort of become a boring clickfest that attempted to money gouge me at every turn. An old friend of mine told me about e-sim, so I signed up.

Question 2: Why did you decide to run for Congress?

Originally, I felt that foreign influences had too much control over our nation sovereignty, and at the time, the people who could have stopped it, did not, until a friend of mine ran prior to my campaign. I honestly wasn't even expecting to win, but I made sure I ran a solid and clean race, campaigned solely on adequate representation for the RL players in the USA, to insure that our national interests were served first and best. Over time, I chose a more solitary path for the country, maintaining a colony free stance, in order to project American raw tank power across the globe in support of our allies, something which they appreciated greatly, and would set the stage for them rewarding us with support when we were invaded.

Question 3: What are your future plans for the U.S? (Economic, Political wise)

I plan on maintaining both my party's platform on representation for American workers and patriots, and my MU's growth. I operate the Bankai Family Military Services MU, and have plans on rebuilding our roster with people of potential. I welcome anyone who wants to to check us out. I also plan on maintaining my position in congress to allow more American players access to cheap goods and services that we currently enjoy, while opposing those I believe are harmful or short sighted. As long as the USA will have me, I'll have the USA.

Question 4: Who is the person you admire most in e-Sim? (It can be anyone but you)

I would say my earliest "heroes" were probably guys like Smack and Ranflax on Primera, who taught me the game, had abstract and unique esoteric views on what constitutes friendship between nations in a game that literally rewards those who sell their national sovereignty to the highest bidders, in many cases. Sometimes it's the guys who think outside of the box, who have the most poignant viewpoints. I also always appreciated my right hand man D43r0n/W1tch_King, who thinks very similarly to how I do, but has better motivation to make sure things get done. Yensid has also always been a close friend and compadre throughout more than one server and honestly deserves his own interview. He's done a lot and been around.

Question 5: What is your favorite color?

Always been a fan of blue. It's also my eye color, so that might have something to do with it. I just think there's something comforting about it.

Question 6: What is your absolute favorite/funniest e-Sim moment?

My favorite moment was during the Trinity/Illuminati wars. D43r0n and I had come up with a solid military plan for ending it entirely, and convincing the HQ and implementing it was some of the most fun I've had in e-sim EVER. It was a story full of quick guerilla battles, propaganda, espionage, great epic clashes and a lot of quality content and trolling, ending with the disbanding of The Illuminati.

The funniest moment I had was on Primera. After a certain now banned GO had made an attempt to bully some of the nicest players you'd ever met in this game into quitting, a lot of us ran around for a week with avatars saying "GO's name stinks!" Of course, we all got into trouble over it, but it was completely worth it. We still consider it a national holiday on that server.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the interview and the Political Spotlight. Let's take a look at the World Economic Report.

World Economic Report: Day 1117
-----------------------------------------------------

As you can see in the above image, most of the top Economic Skill 1 jobs (as of 9/15/15) are priced at around 6 USD. The job market is perceived to continue to get better as more and more businesses are created and upgraded. Let's take at look at current Market Prices.

Weapons manufacturers can be assured that Iron prices are currently holding steady, with most Iron still being sold at 0.13 USD. The price may fluctuate a little bit but for the most part the price of Iron will stay around 0.13 USD (unless taxation is reduced or the market crashes).

Consumers are out of luck when it comes to Food, the price of it varying widely between Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, and Q5. Because of the wild fluctuations between prices and quality, I cannot accurately state if the price of Food will retain it's current price or not. Let's head over and take a look at the Monetary Market

As of now, the Monetary Market has the average price of Gold to 1 USD around 0.044 Gold. The price from USD to Gold is currently around 23.9 to 24 USD, staying at about the same rate as yesterday (Day 1116). The Monetary Market can vary widely from day to day so I will not be able to accurately predict what future prices may be, that is for you Currency Traders to decide.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
