We are currently earning in excess of 0.1g per share per day, which was paid out as dividends. However, most of our q4 raw material companies are breaking even at best, largely serving as an easy way of acquiring RMs so that management can concentrate on more important aspects of the company.

Issuing shares to upgrade these companies to Q5 is not earnings accretive (i.e., it would not increase earnings per share), but using our earnings to upgrade them will be accretive.

As a result, we will skip dividends for the next 5 - 6 days, during which period of time our Q4 oil and Q4 diamond will be upgraded to Q5.

tl;dr by skipping dividends for a few days you're guaranteed to have higher dividends in the future.
