Gold Usage Update (Old article)

Report

As a followup to my last gold article covering days 103 through 116, here are stats on gold usage for weapons during days 117 through 130.

Weapon expenditures were down 10%, falling from 117,682g down to 105,472g. Here are a few possible explanations:
1) People slacked off during the holidays.
2) Massive amounts of multi bans (o7 GOs) sent shockwaves through the economy
3) ramp went inactive.

As usual, I will start with the least granular stats and drill my way down.

Countries Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

I am providing the full list this time, in case you feel like making fun of the people at the bottom. Pro-tip: In most browsers you can press Crtl-+ to zoom in and read my tiny font.

Poland and USA remained on top, but Indonesia dropped from 3rd to 5th for obvious reasons (see #2 above).

Lithuania fell further, from 4th to 7th place, presumably because of their civil war (not the money-making kind). They used 40,000 fewer Q1 weapons this period, which is inversely correlated to the suicide rate of Q1 weapon company owners. Get better soon, guys.

Greece and Serbia, who were basically tied for 5th place last time, filled the voids but with Serbia really stepping it up to claim the 3rd slot.

South Korea managed to land in the top 10 by... not changing a goddamnned thing. As dependendable as solid rock (or a precious gem worth 3,300g), they eschewed their family and friends and treated the holidays like business-as-usual.

Countries Ranked by Average Gold Spent on Weapons per *Active Citizen

*Active: someone who fought during this period.

On a Per Capita basis, Denmark plummeted from 1st place down to 9th. I guess that is what happens when half the country (Blitzkreig) only deals 55 million damage (470g) over 2 weeks, instead of 63 million damage (663g). Basically, they saved 30% of the money in exchange for a 13% reduction in damage.

As most should know by now, while Q5 weapons may provide extra benefits like increased length and girth, Q1s are really the most efficient way to deal damage.

Malaysia really stepped it up to claim the top spot with every citizen in the country spending an average of 11g per week on weapons. Hats off to Rec and crew.

Montenegro improves to 2nd place by losing 6 deadbeat citizens and maintaining their gold usage, while SK remains securely in 3rd.

Overall, I think these stats reflect a lean period where active citizens stayed true to the game while 2-clickers may have clicked two times too few. We will have to see if they have recovered now that the holidays are over or if this is the start of a disturbing trend...

Military Units Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

Despite spending 500 less gold this time, Kyxcorp remained on top of the MU list. The others mostly followed suit:Gloria Victis spent 800 less gold and dropped from 2nd to 4th.

GAMA bucked the trend and earned 2nd place by spending an extra 500g. DPS was knocked down a peg with their predictably flat appetite for weapons.

Also notable were MiB's expenditures being slashed almost in half, while Why So Serious spent exactly the same amount as last period: 1,117g. That is just odd.

Citizens Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

Looks like the usual suspects all returned in a slightly shuffled order. jackist leads the pack this time instead of vasspana . I presume his 25 punches were directed at Hunno , as the American CP debate raged on. If you haven't done so already, I highly recommend reading this article and especially the comments. Very good drama.

Most Expensive Battle

The most expensive battle was Lower Carniola with 3,765g worth of weapons used:

Q1 : 71,500
Q2 : 2,070
Q3 : 5,585
Q4 : 161
Q5 : 3,840

The defenders spent 233 more gold than the attackers, hitting with over 1,000 more Q5 weapons.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
