Good Evening eUSA,

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with our CP, Olaf Iverstone , who is just completing his first term and has submitted his candidature to (hopefully) earn your votes for a second consecutive term -- a feat not accomplished in this country since the infamous jackist .

Gaius Julius Caesar Hello and good evening Olaf. Firstly thanks for taking some time out of your busy schedule to answer a few questions. Hopefully this will give the American public a better idea of who you are and what your plan is moving forward.

Olaf Iverstone : No problem, Favre. It's an honor and I hope to clear up a lot of questions that Americans, and even other eSim citizens may have.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Favre:Great, let's get this started. You have undoubtedly seen and read some of the criticisms citizens have had, especially recently, regarding your presidency. It's easy for a lot of citizens to criticize the work of an acting President because often times the best work is done behind the scenes. Please walk through an average day of yours as acting Country President.

Olaf:An average day for me, let me see. I will start at DC, since it will be easier for me. Work, train, just like any other player. Check messages, notifications, any new articles that come out. I will generally be on IRC while doing all this, that way if someone wishes to talk they can, or if a major battle is going on I can direct the damage from #Strikes.usa. Get DoD Orders published if needed, get commune supplies sent, talk on the congress forum, talk to my cabinet on Skype or IRC, it really is like playing the Game of Houses (Wheel of Time reference for those who don''t know).

Favre: As a follow-up -- what can the average American citizen do to further advance the liberation movement?

Olaf: They can do multiple things. Get on IRC to know when to hit and where. That would be one of the most important things. Work for an American Employer, get payed in gold, buy from Americans through contracts. It stops Lith from making money on us, and the less money in their pocket, the better.

Favre: Americans have been and continue to be occupied by V3 aligned Lithuania. Even though that is still the case and America has not gained their independence after your first term, do you see your first term as a successful one? If so, how do you build on that success in a potential second term?

Olaf: I do view this month as successful one. To build on it, I hope to see the US join one of the alliances, which is currently being discussed by congress, and when they make their decision, if I am still president, I will hold a national referendum, and we will only join if the public agrees with joining. And of course, getting back on the map, that is always important.

Favre: Are there any aspects of your Presidency in which you could honestly say didn't live up to expectations? If so, what are they and how are you going to ensure that those same failures don't repeat themselves?

Olaf: I had wished to get more articles out, keeping the public informed is something that must always be done. I had hoped to be back on the map, and we got close, but this one needs much improvement, more coordination is a must. I think we can all agree on that, and it will be my #1 priority if re-elected.

Favre:Often categorized as uncoordinated flag-waving two-clickers -- the global perception of the United States and Americans in general is not a positive one. How important is it to you to change this perception of the United States and how do you plan on doing that?

Olaf: It is very important that this perception be changed. I think that the global perception of us improved with the Battle of Alaska, as we took the largest alliance in secura to round 15, and only lost by 8 million points. Granted we had help, but it we still proved ourselves. I plan on improving this more by encouraging new players to join IRC and get on #Strikes.usa. We will help out other nations in their fights against V3, we MUST help others, their simply is no other choice to improve the world's opinion of us.

Favre: There have been rumblings from multiple citizens who may have an eye on challenging you this election. They have been in the shoutbox testing the waters, if you will, trying to gauge the public support for a potential run. What can you bring to the Presidency that your potential opponents can't?

Olaf: Well, assuming Crash is the only one running since tarvinn dropped, and I haven't heard anything about Fox running in about a week, I can say that I fight for the US and our interests abroad, and I like to think I bring the motivation to get stuff done such as the new forum, new IRC channels, and the Air National Guard commune, among others.

Favre: So, theoretically, let's say you win this election cycle. Where do you see America at the end of your second term?

Olaf: I see America being in a much better position than we were before. This means having allies at the very least, and being back on the map with Lith retreating at the best.

Favre: Great. One final question, and I will send you on your way to do what are, undoubtedly, more important things. Which real life world-leader, dead or alive, would you say you most model your Presidency after and why?

Olaf: This question I haven't put a lot of thought into, as I have never considered it before. I would like to say William Wallace, a number of reasons for that, however the main part is that he got a country that was down, and not just down, treated like dirt and little to no hope, he got their people to unite and fight for their freedom. Outnumbered and poorly equipped, he still managed to win victories against the English. When he was executed, instead of subduing the rebellion, it ignited it even more. He is, in my opinion, the leader of Scottish Independence, and I believe my Presidency is modeled after him more so than anyone else for that reason.

Favre: Love that answer! I'd like to personally thank you for taking some time to answer a few questions, Olaf. I hope, through this process, Americans become better informed when they submit their votes and I wish you the best of luck come election day.

Olaf: I just want to encourage all Americans to vote for who they think is best, if they believe that is me, fantastic. If it isn't, then I am fine with that as well, knowing Americans got who they think is best to lead the US out of this predicament. The power to vote was put into this game for a reason -- and it is up to the people to utilize that power to its fullest extent. I thank you for the opportunity, Favre, and we will have to do it again sometime.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

There you have it folks, honest questions with honest answers from the President himself. What say you? Did he give you enough reason to elect him for a second term? Is there anything else you want answered before casting your ballot?

The choice is yours America!

Thank You & Goodnight,

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
