HERE ARE THE TOP 10 NEWS EVENTS FROM THIS WEEK
Number 10:
Another HUGE week for India. They have been playing the exchange game with Indonesia for quite some time now, but it looks like Indonesia is finally starting to back away. All that India need to do is build up abit of an economy again, deploy some DS's and it looks like they will be able to hold off aggressors until the next coordinated VVV attack. Now they have a NAP with them for a few days. But with the occurrences around the rest of the e-sim world, methinks that India has abit of time on their hands!
Number 9:
Here is the deal, we all know the rivalry that exists in this game, especially in the media world. Propaganda is spread like crazy, and artful trickery is done on a daily basis. But at the end of the day, its all done in good fun. For instance, everyone knows the automatic trolling that occurs in my articles by South Korea, but then the next second, I'm having a great conversation with some really key SK players (and I even had a great conversation with danyeo - I know, what!) about how we relish the fight and actively search each other out on the battlefield just because its enjoyable. We even flirted with the idea of how boring the game would be if a few of us guys all joined forces, yeah, geez that would be fair for everyone else having to go up against 70 spectators waiting to hit every t-2.
But the automatic trolling is something that is always going to exist. Why, because it is fun and part of the game! For me, the best summary of this
automatic trolling is in this article!
A thing that did hit me was how you start hating ★ OwenHargreaves & ouzobat 's articles once you go against them. That means they are excellent columnists as well.
The other huge thing to hit the media stands this week was the number of top 6 articles by
Zinky . His newspaper
Zinky's Corner produced 4 top 6's and about 10 deleted articles! This became a major talking point this week as people tried to scramble to read his articles before they got deleted. Nothing like good ole scathing articles!
Number 8:
Battle Alaska! I think that this was USA's best chance! The had won initiative, they had a few territories, another few with surround penalties, and in one of their most
crucial battles ever they led 5-0.
Lithuania then steam rolled them for 8 consecutive rounds! Where was the rest of USA, where was the Federation support? I'm not sure if this makes the top 10 for how great Lithuania and her allies did, or how much USA and her allies choked! (As far as we can tell, a majority of Federation Forces were in the Norway v Delta Battle and not the USA battle. Is Norway even in Federation?I've sent numerous messages with no response.)
Number 7:
China and Finland get 'The Sledges' official thumbs up! Somewhat separated from the occurrences of this week, both China and Finland have just been slowly plucking away at their territories and wouldn't you know it, they have both nearly won back all of their regions. This was the ideal 'under the radar' operation that these nations were looking for, and they have come out as truly the big winners of this whole debacle.
Number 6:
Look carefully at this map. Notice anything unusual?
For the first time in about 250 days, nearly every nation appears on the esim world map! There are only 2 nations missing, Australia - which is rumoured to be getting its territories back pretty soon, and Tawian - which is becoming accepted as the greater empire of South Korea. This is fantastic, it gives players a sense of nationalistic pride.
So with that in mind, people have been suggesting "Project Pingu!" In an attempt to get every single nation back on the map, lets get some Taiwan regions back for the natives. They could use a hand, and I'm sure the South Korean's would welcome the challenge rather than just another 100 days of covering other nations tail ends.
Number 5:
UWS has made some HUGE plays this week. Turkey has moved into Ukraine (formerly owned by Poland), they had a stab at Greece from the South, while Serbia moved into Greece from the North. As soon as this happened a flurry of anti-VVV articles came flying across the newsroom, and there was a war of words occurring in these articles. But as usual, Greece has come fighting back in typical VVV fashion with the unending support of their allies. But this is where I think that people are starting to enjoy the game. This isn't the one sided affair that the game once was, it isn't the David vs Goliath/College student beating up the elementary school kid! It's e-sim battles at its finest!
Number 4:
Every now and then, you see something that blows your mind! So, without further ado, I give you
The Greek News . This writer definitely gets the persistence award of the week. Over the past 12 days he has posted his article on 6 different occasions.
As per his article:

Awesome! Nothing more to say!
Number 3:
Delta has made massive progress this week. NAP's between Brazil/Peru/Spain, Sweden has now taken back over Norway, Denmark will have all of its territories back in no time, and after the pressure placed on Lithuania in Latvia, a NAP has occurred there too.
But of more interest, was the whole
Brazil/Per/Spain NAP . After Brazil held on to the fort for quite sometime, Spain breached the Brazilian core regions. Brazil offered NAP's to both Spain and Peru that were both rejected and from the VVV end, things seem to be falling apart. SK, perhaps the best support nation in esim stopped supporting Brazil after the Brazilian government failed to pay them for DS's, failed deploying them in time, and accidentally forgot to repay the SK CP for starting a much needed RW. I'm not sure what the next move is for Brazil or VVV in South America, but the tides are certainly starting to shift in the Amazon.
After claiming the top spot 2 weeks ago in the clutch rating, will Delta Squad top the ratings again Subscribe to this Paper!
Number 2:
Practice Battles, Tournaments, Selling Gold, Medkits, Babyboom. Look, I'm 100% for promoting this game. It is fantastic and I'm sure we all spend far too much time on this game. Now, I have to be extremely careful about what I say here since pretty much every article alluding to this has been deleted. So, I will just present a few topics, in no particular order. As part of this, if you can figure out the order of these events, post it into the comments, first correct entry wins 1 gold.
1) Practice Battles announced - only lvl 8 and below can participate
2) Tournament announced - every participant on the winning side gets a medkit for each battle won
3) Poland announces elaborate plan to create enormous babyboom
4) Admin announces that Mass inviters can sell gold
5) Tournament structure announced - based on the average strength of active citizens.
AND THE NUMBER 1 MOMENT FOR THIS WEEK IS?
I don't think that anyone can deny this weeks No.1 as being Poland leaving VVV. I think everyone can safely say that they are not sure what is really happening here. Until Poland makes an effort to push into extra territories, including their ex-alliance nation of Lithuania, I think that people are simply of the thought that Poland will just move back into VVV. Regardless, this has sparked a huge change all over the esim world and has created, what I think, has been the best week in secura history for all of its citizens. Battles have been occurring left/right/and center. VVV is still holding strong though on a majority of its territories, but nations from Delta and UWS (and Federation - in USA but where is the alliance support) are certainly making inroads.
