I would like to promote following idea as forum is slightly inactive.

Hi,

I think everyone will agree a politics module is unattractive and without clear impact (everything depends on skills of people to negotiate with others).

So I would like to suggest to add politic orientation into parties and countries with some benefits for citizens and some disadvantages, of course.
An idea is to add some bonus for players and countries, so it's important for them what type they select. Additionally more players will vote based on personal/country preferences instead of "famous" name of player.

Let's take an example with 5 politics orientations (types, benefits etc. are for imagination only and should be changed by development team to fit a need of game):
- anarchist [1]
- monarch [2]
- democratic [3]
- communism [4]
- nationalism [5]

Party president can change orientation each month from 5th to 15th day. All existing parties are setup to [1] anarchy by default.

Party bonuses:
[1] anarchy - +5% damage bonus in all fights [good for all]
[2] monarchy - +50% strength bonus for players with less than 200 training sessions [good for newcomers]
[3] democracy - +5% for all gold rewards like BH, hard worker etc. [good for top fighters]
[4] communism - +10% productivity bonus [good for workers]
[5] nationalism - +10% damage bonus when fighting for own country [good for occupied countries]

These are direct bonuses for players from being in party.

After new congress is established (during day change from 26th to 27th day in month) a country orientation is changed to [1] anarchy.
Country president can propose a change of country orientation from 27th day in month to 3rd day on next month only.
When proposal is accepted it's changed during day change. Country president can propose new law in this time as many times as needed but only once per day (after change of country orientation during day change).
If a law (proposal) is not accepted a country orientation is not changed.
It means if any proposal is not accepted then country remain in anarchy for the rest of month while new congress is not established.

Congress(wo)man is limited what proposal can support.
Anarchist is not supporting any type of orientation.
If a member of party with monarchy orientation (s)he cannot vote Yes for nationalism, with democracy for communism and vice-verse.

It means a congress member from monarchy party can vote for monarchy, democracy and communism. If president propose to change orientation to nationalism then he can vote "No" only.

When country orientation will be changed it will appear as country event together with an information how bonuses (see below) are changed.

Country bonuses:
[1] anarchy - nothing
[2] monarchy - may purchase products from SC located in country (limitation: game "knows" an average price for products and country can purchase for this value in gold), +10% damage in attack fight for own country (no defense bonus), -5% damage for other countries not being alliance (i.e. no change in fight for alliance)
[3] democracy - alliance cost 10% less, +5% damage bonus in fights for country and alliances
[4] communism - can propose to "take" shares from players not active for 30+ days (limitation: country pays value for shares like it's with banned players, only in SC located in their country; owner of share is president), +5% damage bonus in fights when defend (if fights for attacker no bonus), -5% production bonus if used all limits day before
[5] nationalism - Resistance War in your country costs half (i.e. Slovak can start RW in Slovakia for 10 gold, in other countries still costs 20), bonus in fights for own country: +15% in RW (only for country original regions), +10% damage if used all limits day before (not RW) otherwise +5%; but has -5% damage for all other countries (including alliances)

Additionally for all orientations except anarchy: +5% damage when fighting against country with "opposite" orientation (democracy-communism, monarchy-nationalism) and -5% damage when fighting against country with the same orientation.

I hope the idea how this should be working is clear. I suppose it will be easy for understanding for players as well.

P.S. although there are mostly fight bonuses it's really increasing an importance of politics in the game, few example:
- anarchists as congress members cannot support politic orientation of country, if there is lot of them they will lost a bonus from country orientation
- monarchy is fine for newcomers, but if country is fighting for freedom, it's better to not vote candidate from monarch party
- country with 1-2 alliances will not prefer democracy probably

And people can activate to "explain" what type of candidates to vote for good of country and its citizens.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.


In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.


You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).


At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
