In last article I showed you that estimated value isn’t reliable at all now I’m going to turn focus on how SC work from inside so buckle up this ain't going to be pretty . Major problems in SC are CEO position powers and lack of contract for SC those two are closely linked as I will show.
Lack of contracts for SC - root of all evil
Major drawback of SC is that you can’t buy anything with contract, players demanded this to be implemented one and a half year ago when module was introduced on primera but nothing happened to this day. You might think this is not major issue since company can buy/sell from product market but you would be wrong. Raw from product market has higher price than #setrade and CEO/managers would need to travel often to different countries in order to buy at best prices if they have different types of companies in SC. Even bigger issue is when country gets conquered and lose market, that means SC can’t sell anything without import taxes and let’s face it even without import taxes SC would struggle to make any decent profit.
To counter this someone from team admin had brilliant idea to let CEO and managers buy products from SC @0.01cc and then donate gold/CC to SC after selling on #setrade or other markets. This brought SC module to complete chaos once products are taken away from SC shareholders don’t have any idea what is happening since they can’t see logs on private accounts and with new estimated price they can’t even see change in stock value if products are taken. There are some CEO/managers use this to steal part of money from SC because it’s hard to prove at what price they sold products on #setrade. Some CEO “forget” to donate gold for products and if shareholder report them they won't get ban as long as they donate money that they owe to SC, this is especially popular with SC that have lot of inactive shareholders.Believe it or not this 0.01cc buying is preventing GOs to monitor SC in proper way (can’t reveal details) so they act for most part only on complaints received from shareholders.
CEO powers - more powerful than god
In real life there are different kinds of mechanisms to regulate SC and protect rights of minority shareholders for instance right to invoke veto on certain CEO actions etc. but in this game SC isn’t regulated in any way. This often leads to minority shareholder oppression since CEO (or group of players) that holds over 50% of active shares can do whatever they want without any consequences effectively usurping minority shareholders capital. CEO can sell companies from SC at any price he wants (as long as they are within reason about 75% of creation value), downgrade companies without any kind of vote or control from other shareholders, decide when to pay dividend, sell products at any price and use SC to supply himself/MU/Org with cheap raw/products. Even if CEO doesn’t have over 50% shares if he wants he can destroy whole SC in a matter of minutes and get away with it because GOs won't ban anyone for “lacking of knowledge to lead profitable SC”.You have realized by now that if you decide to invest in SC you are more or less at mercy of CEO.
In RL CEO and managers receive pay for their jobs from SC - in game they don’t. We have situation that CEO runs bunch of companies and gets proportional dividend like any other shareholder who doesn’t do anything. This often leads to things I described above if you are still not convinced in what I’m saying take a look on first 20 SC by value, most of them don’t pay regular dividends and when they pay dividend doesn’t exceed more than 2-3% of company value a month. For comparison I make about 80-90 gold month with one Q5 gift company which is return of ~20% and I’m not even trying hard.
I wouldn’t recommend players buying shares of any SC or at least do not buy shares without serious investigation of both SC and especially CEO. You should check how long SC has been operating (you can see this through SC laws), who was CEO, are dividends regular and what profit you can expect monthly from them and logs of stock company. In my opinion better solution is to start closed SC (shares won't be sold to public) with 4-5 friends/MU members you will make more gold that way than investing into any public SC.
Hope this shed some light on how much SC market deteriorated and helped players realize what they are getting into when investing in SC. As always you can request article about anything in game in comments or via PM.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
