Hello dear readers I received request to write about newspaper module I’ll explain all steps from creating newspapers,articles and I will finish with importance of newspapers to community and activity in country so let’s start.
First of all you need to be LvL4 or higher to create newspaper, creation cost is only 2 gold and creating newspapers is one of first things you can do when you start game. To create newspaper go to My Places/Newspapers
you will have to give your newspapers unique name and you can set avatar (both can be edited later) and that’s it you are proud owner of newspaper
.
Now about some general rules for articles:
- You can publish article every hour but you can’t publish same article twice or more, game operators will delete them for spam.
-You can choose in what country your article will be published but again you can’t publish same article in different country.
-Always write articles in word/notepad or whatever text editor you use and save them on your hdd or online storage
-Avoid writing about controversial RL topics, using curse words, petitions about work of game
operators and requesting sub for sub (even lotteries with request to vote/sub to enter). Whenever your article is deleted or not depends on mood/good will of game operator since there are no clear rules about articles criteria vary significantly.
Creating first article
Go to My Places/Newspapers and you will see this
1.You choose here where you want to publish article it’s good idea to publish in different countries in order to gain readers.
2.Enter title of your article here avoid using vague names like hello,my first article etc.
3.Here you can disable comments like
4.Here you can choose type of article (which will be shown next to your article title)
this is self explanitory. Fun section is where you can write anything even stuff unrelated to game.
Articles are written in specific BBCode some options are missing like changing size,font and color of text while other are implemented like citizen,currency and equipment you can find most of them under article editor. I’ll write couple of important tags
There is workaround to restrictions of font color,size and other things in bbcode you can use your favorite text editor write article in it take screenshot and publish article as image. Downside is that you can't use bbc.
Benefits of writing articles are:
-You get medal and 5 gold for every 100 subscribers to your newspaper
-You can get 11 achievements by writing articles
-Writing articles will increase activity in your country/game - this game is social strategy game so communication is important if not crucial. You can get vast knowledge of game mechanics,players and countries very fast from articles, they are not time consuming like irc. If you don’t believe me check new articles section of successful nations like Poland,Serbia,China,Taiwan,Lithuania they all have many articles published every day and their governments communicate with citizens through newspapers.
If you want to get subscribers/medals fast or get your article in global you will have to share your article link. There are different approaches to this I’ll write some of them:
- Share your article link on irc channels - be advised that some channels prohibit sharing article links and you may get kick/temp ban or even permanent ban from channel so ask channel operator about rules before you post links.
- Share your link as donation reason when you donate to country treasury - every country has ~20 congressmen and there are over 50 countries in game so many players will see your link, downside is that congressmen doesn’t like this kind of advertizing, GO will give you mute for 1-3 days if you do this often.
-Leave your link in comments in global newspaper or shouts - generally GO won’t mute you for this as long as you advertize this way within reason - don’t overdo it. If you have friends with different citizenship than yours you can ask them to leave comment with article link.

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.
Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
