For this article, I will be taking an in-depth look at eUSA's economy, comparing it in various ways, and offering suggestions for citizens, companies, and the government to take to improve the economy. First and foremost, lets look at how we're doing currently.
To rank the USD globally, I'd place us about in the middle. There are certainly countries with far worse currencies, but also many of the nations with similar military strengths have healthier currencies. It is my belief that this stems from foreign investors jacking up our exchange rates, and this is how. Because our current Import Taxation is set at just 1%, foreign investors are free to sell every item in our markets. When they do this, they get paid in USD, and since their true business is in their home country and not the USA, they will quickly exchange this USD for gold. As this goes on, the exchange rate will continue to be pushed higher and higher, but this isn't the only problem...
Of the top 10 USA stock companies, only 2 have American CEOs. On the product market, there are 156,612 units of Iron for sale by foreign citizens and companies, compared to only 20,604 units for sale by Americans (They are outselling us by almost 800%!). This is the raw resource that we own a high-resource territory in, so why are most of these profits being earned by non-Americans? Our market is facing a crisis of foreign citizens controlling our industry, and it needs to be fixed. But how can we do that?
For the Citizen: - Only buy from American citizens and companies. Most offer the products at the same price or just a couple cents more, which doesn't make that much of a difference.
- Try to only work at American companies. Try to make sure that not only are the companies American, but their CEOs as well.
For the Companies: - Don't be bullied by foreign companies. Figure out how much each unit is costing you, determine a desired profit per product, and then sell for that amount. You aren't helping the markets if you keep lowering your price, because then the competitors lower it even more, and you end up losing out.
- Look at some foreign markets. Try to figure out which products you can sell in other nations at profit. Do so, and then exchange the currency for gold and reinvest it in our economy. Bring some of that wealth back.
- Hire Americans first. If you want 8 employees at your company, wait for all the spots to fill, and then start firing the non-Americans and try hiring again. We want to keep USD's in America, not sitting over-seas in some national treasury or bank
For the Government: - Raise import taxes. I've seen many congressmen say they want to do this, so actually do it. You don't have to start with across the board increases, but please jack up Iron and Weapons. We have enough American offers for those markets to survive if the foreign offers leave, so lets make them leave. I would recommend somewhere between 40% and 60% taxes.
- Subsidize American business. Set up a program where businesses can apply for a grant, and if they are in America, owned by an American, and in a market that is doing well (aka not the stone market), then give them USDs. I would recommend about 210 USD every week. This isn't a lot for bigger companies, but for early startups, it could allow them to sell cheaper and stay alive.
- Acquire more resources! Before we can raise import tax, we need a way to get those raw materials and units produced in the country. Either make a deal or go to war and get us some grain/diamonds! Please...
So those are my thoughts on the subject. Please comment below if I said something you either completely agreed with or made you think I know nothing on the subject. Also please Vote and Sub, as it is the best encouragement for me to not only write these, but put the time into making them good.
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
