So with the update, I see a notice that Party Leader elections are coming up, and I have a chance to run for it. Now I only started playing a few days ago, so rest assured that this isn't my presentation and you aren't reading a noob's attempt at being party leader
But it did give me a great idea for today's article...
So what is the point of being a party leader, and for that point, the party itself. Well, like the real world, parties are groups of like-minded citizens working together to get representatives with the same ideas into public office. They are for organization, and to solidify your belief system. However, in E-sim, this isn't very prevalent. Most parties are successful because they have a catchy name, lots of members, and maybe a description someone likes, but this doesn't really mean much. Being a member of one party doesn't change anything compared to others, and it doesn't matter one bit what party congressmen and the president belong to. All-in-all, the system works for its intended purpose, but I personally feel like to could easily be so much more.
If I was a programmer for Liberty Games, and could work on anything in the game, I'd upgrade the party system. The first thing I'd do, is create an option for party leaders to set stances for their party. These would be for the subjects of Peace to War, Production to Trade, and Freedom to Control. Party leaders would pick to lean one way, the opposite way, or stay neutral on the top. After this paragraph, I will list each stance and the benefit for leaning towards it. This won't be applied to every citizen, but the nation as a whole, and the party stance that effects which bonuses the country gets depends on which party the president belongs to.
Stances: Peace - Economic skill gains an extra 25% each day a citizen works
War - Training grants citizens 25% more strength
Production - Productivity in all companies increased by 10%
Trade - Citizens of the country can ignore half of other nation's import tax ((This one needs work I think))
Freedom - Gold gained from 100 newspaper subscribers and working 30 days increased by 1
Order - Gold gained from winning elections for congress and training 30 days increased by 0.5
Before I end this article, I think it is important to explain my reasoning behind several of these numbers. The idea behind Peace and War is that a nation can be focused on attacking other nations, and for some of the bigger countries, or the ones that are currently occupied, War would look like a no brainer. However, some of the countries that are only focused on keeping their lands may find it useful to choose peace and have a national level of productivity higher than those warring nations. For Production vs Trade, I was really trying to bring in the productivity bonus, and needed something to counter it. The Trade bonus isn't that great and probably doesn't even work with the code, so if this idea was truly accepted that would have to be improved (Comment your suggestions if you have any). Finally, Freedom versus Order was just to show the character of the party leaders. Are they going to give themselves bonus gold, even if it means less for training, or give it to the people, even though they won't gain any in the elections.
As always, thanks for reading my paper. I've been pretty constant with this whole "one article a day" thing, but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep it up. For now, just expect an article ever 24 hours or so, but don't be surprised if I miss one. Vote and Subs if you liked the article!
Comment Responses from "The Current eUSA Economy" FromOlaf Iverstone We also don't currently have enough manpower to be able to invade anywhere and still be able to consistently help our allies.
#- Well why are we stuck helping our allies with there wars only? We should be able to have our own war, and count on Trinity to back us up. At least thats how the alliance should work...
FromCSax No one from the congress wants to raise import taxes. That's all about the business men trying to get more income. Total weird.
#- Its also about wanting to improve the value of the USD, so we can afford more weapons and food, and thus fight more wars. Also, I recommended really just adjusting Iron. That one is really weird, and it doesn't make any sense why we just let foreign companies steal gold from America
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
