0-introduction:
Hello my fellow Australians!
This week's article is on the topic of how to fight, gain damage, and understand the depth and advantages of fighting. Fighting is arguably the most important eSim module on which the entire eSim economy revolves around.
1-Why is fighting important?
Fighting is the main way players gain experience (XP) and rank up. Every hit (up to 346 per day with boosts and q5 hospital) in the battle field is equivalent to 1XP and a certain amount of damage (discussed later) which help the player rank up. Successful fighters are rewarded with BHs medals and 5
Gold and the ability to get easier BH medals due to their rewards and higher ranks.
On a national level, fighting is crucial to economy because players are willing to buy supplies (houses, estates, guns, food, gifts, and raw materials) to become a better fighter helping the country's wealth. Successful battles are also important to a national level because of the potential to get or defend valuable regions (e.g. capital regions like Madrid, high ressource regions like diamonds in South Australia, and choke-point regions like Saxony to sPoland).
2-Where do I find battles?
Battles can be found at the front page in the top-right corner or under the (Country > Battles) tab. There you can sort the battles by start time, subsidies, and total damage. If you're part of an MU, it is recommend you fight in the battle that is set by one of the officers (on the home page and the MU page [My Place > Military Unit]) due to the increase in damage (discussed later).
3-I have a battle selected, now what?
Make sure this battle is being fought in your wanted benefit (hopefully SUP
) and your are in the country and region being defended. Once you click on the battle you should be sent to a screen like the one below. I will describe each aspect numbered in the picture so you understand their significance.
1) The round number, there is a maximum of 17 rounds per battle, fighting in earlier rounds is usually better for BH hunting.
2) The timer of time left in the round. Each round lasts 2 hours, it is generally better to hit in the last 1 minute to surprise other BH contesters if you're a fast clicker. Also, there is no "wait time" between rounds, each happens consequentially contrarily to other games.
3) This is the percentage of the bar that a side controls. The side that controls the majority (50<%) of the bar/damage at the end of the round wins.
4) The percentage of damage by that side is also expressed in a percentage.
5) Each star represents a round won by the respective side (in this case 0 for sIndonesia and 4 for sChina, horray!).
6) You also have the choice of selection of a weapon or lack thereof (q0 to q5) if you wish (more on damage modifiers in section 5).
7) This indicates the side you can fight for, in resistance wars (RWs) or civil wars (CWs) you have a choice of side regardless of if you're in an attacking or defending region.
8) The indication of the highest damage dealers for the respective round only the #1 damage dealer gets a BH medal (although a multi-way tie rewards all tiers with BH medals).
9) You will notice two buttons "Fight (1 hit)" and "Berserk (5 hits)". The berserk is simply to save the player time by automatically fighting five time in one click. The next section will discuss why these aspects are important.
The other elements are rather self-explanatory, the damage done by country/ by MU/ by top 10 players are indicated along with ability to see overall damage for all rounds, and your own damage.
4- Recovering Health
Each hit requires 10 hp (so berserk uses 50hp) unless the defending region has a hospital (reduces it down to 7.5 with q5 hospital). There is only one way to use health (fighting) and there are three ways to recover health points (the number to the right of the red cross icon):
-server reset (at 0:00 server time) recovers 50hp to the player
-eating food (recovers 10 per q number ex. q3 food = 30hp/ food).
-using gifts (recovers 10 per q number).
Please note that generally although there is a default limit of 10 gifts/food per reset this can be increase through estates for gifts or houses for food (the q number is the number of increased limit per day).
5- Formula per hit
The question remains "how much damage will I do per hit?". Luckily the formula for damage is incredibly basic:
Damage per hit =
S * W * R * D * L * F * U * B
S: Strength (gained from training)
W: The quality of the weapons you use (0.5 for q0, 1.2 for q1 and +.2 up to 2 for q5).
R: Military rank, this increases along with the damage you deal. You can look at the coefincients that grow in weird jumps along with the required ranks on the wiki:
here .
D: For defense, a defense system has a 1.05 to 1.25 multiplier is added (q1 = 1.05 q5 = 1.25).
L: Location bouns, this gives a 1.2 bouns otherwise 1 if you are located in the region (defending +RWs) or the region directly bordering the attacked region (attacking).
F: This is a debuff multiplier, if the region has no route to core/ base regions then there is a 0.8 multiplier to damage otherwise 1 (ex. if sAustralia has a lone region in sMalaysia will have a 20% debuff for the entirety of the battle).
U: Military Unit Orders set to the battle will result in a 1.05 to 1.2 multiplier for MU members.
B Boosts are the newest addition to the formula and are changes to your damage that you buy with gold (Market > Special Items). Their effects vary. Abilities can stack so he buff can be from 0.6 (all 3 dmg debuffs) to 1.7 (all 3 dmg buffs). Usually Special Items should be limited to hardcore BH hunters and important battles.
You can calculate your damage using the training screen (which calculates S*W*R for you) and multiplying for individual battle multipliers (namely the L, D, F, U, and B bouns if they apply). Or if you're too lazy you can use the
eSim Damage Calculator .
6- How do I increase my damage?
I already made an article that goes into depth on the topic "
18 Tips To Improve Damage " but I want to put emphasis on two of the most important methods other than training and fighting daily:
A- Join a Military Unit:
Joining an MU is crucial to having an edge on other players. Simply fighting in the battle set by an MU gives an increase of 5 to 20% depending on the quality (novice, regular, veteran, or elite).
Currently, in sAustralia, I would personally recommend considering joining an MU like
Australian Army which offers excellent supplies of 35 q1 weps and 10 q5 for commuting (working in the company they ask you to) and is a regular MU which means a 10% increase in damage over no MU! Joining is FREE!
If you're more ambitious you can choose to go directly into an elite MU like
Australian Freedom Unit which although it has an entry fee of 45g, it has better supplies and you can probably pay that amount over time. Contact the leader and pages of the respective MUs for more information.
B- Location Bouns:
Although you can fight for a country simply by being anywhere in it, it is HIGHLY recommended to move to the country you're fighting for to get the 20% location bouns if you're going to fight more than 20 hits for a q1 ticket (20 buffed hits surpasses the 4 lost hits). You should only have to travel once a day if you coordinate properly.
To get this bouns, simply buy a ticket, click on travel on the left of the screen and select the region you want to travel to note that depending on the quality of the ticket will make you lose hp (q1 = -40 up to q5 = 0). For RWs and defending against attacks simply go to the contested region. To fight for an attacking country that is not a RW, click on the region link from the battle screen, find the bordering region and you will get bouns. Alternatively, go to the world map (Country > Map) and find the attacking country's bordering region there.
