Welcome to the third article in my continuing series on Gold Usage, covering Days 131 to 144 (January 3rd through 16th). Before I get into the details for this two-week period, I thought it would be interesting to look at gun usage trends since November.
Note: Curves have been smoothed using a 1-week rolling average.
Overall gun usage rose from 57% at the beginning November to 66% on January 17th. This increase was driven by a steady rise in Q1 weapon usage from 46% to 55%, while all other qualities have held steady +/- 1%.
This trend reflects a declining population:10,475 citizens fought at least once during this two-week period. That number was 10,537 for the previous two-week period and 11,229 the period before that. Whether this is the result of multi bans or players losing interest, those who are truly invested in their citizen (and spend gold accordingly) represent a larger portion of total combatants.
Weapon expenditures were up 7.5% this period, rising from 105,472g to 113,722g, but still off of their 117,682g pre-holiday high.
Countries Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
Poland and USA held their usual positions at #1 and #2, respectively, but USA continues to slide. They are down almost 5% (roughly 1 Yensid ).Greece spent over 1,100 more gold this period, a 20% increase. At this rate they could overtake the USA within the next month, an amazing feat compared to a country that is almost twice their size.
Lithuania has made a similar gain over last period, showing signs that their recovery is behind them and they are ready to exert their influence on the world again.
Countries Ranked by Average Gold Spent on Weapons per *Active Citizen
*Active: someone who fought during this period.
This is really a big shakeup in the leaderboard for gold spent per capita. Malaysia, reeling from the loss of Rec , was overtaken by Montenegro, while South Korea fell from #3 and landed in the #7 slot.
Greece continues their course to supremacy, securing #3 on this chart as well. Two big surprises are Ireland and Canada making the top 5. While gaining a 10% bump in population, Canada managed to improve spending from 9.8g to 17.2g per citizen.
Military Units Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
Kycorp continues to slide, spending 150 less gold per week this period, and almost 400g per week less than their spend rate before the holidays. This time it cost them the top slot as Gloria Victis relaxed its purse strings, almost, but not quite, getting back to their pre-holiday spending rate.
Indonesia's Gunkostrad and the two Greek Mlitary Units, Marvel and GAMA, round out the top 5. Overall, it looks like OGD has a disproportionate number of high rollers.
Citizens Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
Except for Senor Yensid , we have an all new top 5. I guess some people just don't care enough about their friends and countrymen to spend 40 euro a week on a game.
You say fyrom i say FUCK YOU appears to have forsworn the use of Q4 weapons and graduated to pure Q5. That secured him the top honored spot on my list of biggest spenders. Ties are broken by the longest moustache per international protocol. Better luck next time, BBMBB .As an interesting side note, Speedy represented almost 15% of the world's demand for Q4 weapons, so I am sure that market will feel this loss.
Most Expensive Battle
The most expensive battle was Crisana Banat with 4,150g worth of weapons used:
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
