Gold Usage Series:
1) Days 103 - 116
2) Days 117 - 130
3) Days 131 - 144
4) Days 145 - 158

Welcome to the fifth article in my continuing series on Gold Usage, covering Days 159 to 172 (January 31st through February 13th).

Another month has gone by, which I have added to my Weapon Usage Trends.

Q5 Usage is down this month, likely due to the fact that Equipment drops are based on number of hits rather than total damage. They are still at 5%, so roughly no change since December.

Q4 Usage remains on life support at 0.33%. Despite always being the least used quality of weapon, it continues to trend downward. I blame You say fyrom i say FUCK YOU .

Q3 Usage is remarkably flat at 3% for almost 3 months. There are some people (mostly Indonesians) who only use these instead of Q1. Apparently they are the only ones, and they aren't stopping.

Q2 Usage is down dramatically to 1.5%, with no real explanation other than lack of demand. It seems to be headed for Q4 status.

Last but certainly not least, Q1 Usage is up: 56.4% of all hits are with a Q1 weapon.

Overall weapon expenditures were up 0.4% this period, rising from 124,609g to 125,123g. This could be a leveling off point or the fallout of a market recovering from an equipment-fueled spending binge. For instance, when jackist bought a hat from Golubowic EF for 1,600g (320 euro), 32g in auction fees went to Railman (*poof*).

Countries Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

The entire top 8 remains mostly unchanged, with Greece falling from 3rd down to 5th place behind Serbia and Lithuania. Poland appears to have suffered a brutal recession, losing 116 Active Citizens (-10%) and spending 990 less gold (-8.8%) this period. Meanwhile, USA's expenses were up 7.5%, shrinking the gap between them and Poland to a mere 555g. Things are really starting to look up for the USA... I'm only kidding. They totally pillaged their Treasury in one final gasp before they expired, alledgely paying 1000's of gold to American MU's for "merc" damage. There is a large gap between them and #3 Serbia, but I would not be surprised to see a new #2 in two weeks.

Countries Ranked by Average Gold Spent on Weapons per *Active Citizen

*Active: someone who fought during this period.

Montenegro's per capita spending snapped back to reality this period, from a jaw-dropping 34.4g per citizen down to 24.6g, but they still held on to the #1 slot. Austria jumped 12 places to #2 while only gaining 2 citizens, one of whom was reported to be wearing a mighty fine hat. Let's see if he can single-handedly carry an entire Empire to economic greatness.

EDIT: I had an error in my chart that showed SK having a population of 258 instead of their actual 160. This showed them much lower on the Per Capita rank than the #3 they should have had. The 258 number actually belonged to Turkey, which was blank on the previous chart. Sorry for the mistake.

Russia jumped up 21 places to #4, due to ST1m dealing 29 million damage (thanks TLDR ). Canada's graced the top 3 last time, but fell to #23 after losing Golan Briggs to Denmark. Despite losing access to Civil War printing presses, Malaysia maintains a top 5 presence along with Pakistan.

Military Units Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

Gloria Victis spent 723 less gold this period, allowing GUNKOSTRAD (spending unchanged) to take over the top slot. GAMA, losing a major force in daShDoT , fell to 11th place, spliting the two Greek Military Units that normally shared the top 5. This allowed DPS to creep back in.

Citizens Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons

Last period, You say fyrom i say FUCK YOU was able to top the list by only spending 455g. This time he spent 447g and it was barely good enough for 3rd place. Rec topped the list by spending 499g on 2,695 Q5 weapons. jackist was a close 2nd.

Most Expensive Battle

The most expensive battle was Alaska , Lithuania's opening attack in the invasion of the USA, with 3,497g worth of weapons used:

Q1 : 38,824
Q2 : 725
Q3 : 3,354
Q4 : 374
Q5 : 7,389

The defenders spent 162 more gold than the attackers, mostly on an extra 1,580 Q5 weapons.

About the game:

USA as a world power? In E-Sim it is possible!

In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth. Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be efficiently managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation. Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the game.

Work for the good of your country and see it rise to an empire.

Activities in this game are divided into several modules. First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress as a fighter. You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which are owned by the state. After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.

In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.

Become an influential politician.

The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes. From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability to run for the head of the party you're in. You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself. Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you. You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state (for example, who to declare war on). Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.

You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.

The international war.

The last and probably the most important module is military. In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials. For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on their territory. You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life as a pacifist who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling products).

At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.

E-Sim is a unique browser game. It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth according to their own. So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
