Welcome to the seventh article in my continuing series on Gold Usage, covering Days 187 to 200 (February 28th through March 13th).
Overall weapon expenditures were up 5.4% this period, increasing from 121,701g to 128,314g. Below are trends breaking down usage by weapon quality:
Q3 and Q4 usage have remained fairly flat over the past month, while Q2 and Q5 usage have both fallen slightly. However, Q1 usage increased enough to drive overall weapon usage up roughly 1.33%.
It looks like some countries have been making a concerted effort to increase damage, and Q1's are the most cost-effective way to do it. For instance, Hungary's Q1 usage increased 32%, from 65,777 to 87,027.
Countries Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
A lot of big swings this period.
USA continues to deteriorate rapidly, losing 20% of its spending. Indonesia is down 22% as their population continues to slide down from 456 to 428. Spending levels of Serbia and Greece both fell by just over 10%.
Meanwhile, Poland's spending increased by 20%. They now are almost equal to the combined spending of #2 Lithuania and #3 Serbia. Sweden is up 36.7%, recovering from a dip last period, and Hungary increased by 61.1% (3,881g to 6,251g)! It will be interesting to see how long Hungary can maintain that level.
Countries Ranked by Average Gold Spent on Weapons per *Active Citizen
*Active: someone who fought during this period.
Denmark experienced a 15% drop in Active Citizens this period, coupled with a 41.8% increase in spending, to become the #1 country in spending Per Capita. Just looking at Q5 weapons, you can see that they more than quadrupled their usage from 1,300 to 5,374.
Pakistan increased the citizen count and their spending levels to claim a distant 2nd, while South Korea lost a little of both and fell to 3rd.
Canada, on a rollercoaster ride, returns to the top 5 after being 24th last period. Hungary, which was not even in the top 20 on previous PC Spending lists, is now 5th.
Military Units Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
Well the obvious standout is Gloria Victis, with 5,063g spent on weapons in the last 2 weeks. That is more gold spent than all of USA, or all of Iran, or almost as much South Korea and Isreal combined.
That is a single military unit, mind you, being compared against entire countries. They used more Q5 weapons (12,385) than Hungary (11,146), which was the largest Q5 consumer behind Poland.
GUNKOSTRAD is down. Way down. A 43% drop from 2,724g to 1,552g and the Q3 market will never be the same.
Blacksail Pirates and Why So Serious have stepped it up a notch and broke into the top 5, dispelling a long running dominance by units in VVV countries.
Citizens Ranked by Total Gold Spent on Weapons
Rec has taken Q5 usage to the ultimate level with his complete set of Q5 equipment, tuned to provide almost 25% damage avoidance. He averaged 210 fights per day, all with Q5 weapons.
It looks like damian004 returned to Secura with a bang, accumulating vac/spa buffs to deal massive damage in a single battle (see below) and spending the 2nd highest amount of gold on weapons in the process.
Most Expensive Battle
The most expensive battle (ever on Secura, by a landslide) was Western Ukraine with 9,851g worth of weapons used:
In E-Sim we have a huge, living world, which is a mirror copy of the Earth.
Well, maybe not completely mirrored, because the balance of power in this virtual world looks a bit
different than in real life. In E-Sim, USA does not have to be a world superpower, It can be
efficiently
managed as a much smaller country that has entrepreneurial citizens that support it's foundation.
Everything depends on the players themselves and how they decide to shape the political map of the
game.
Work for the good of your country and
see it rise to an empire.
Activities in this game are divided into several modules.
First is the economy as a citizen in a country of your choice you must work to earn money, which you
will get to spend for example, on food or purchase of weapons which are critical for your progress
as a fighter.
You will work in either private companies which are owned by players or government companies which
are owned by the state.
After progressing in the game you will finally get the opportunity to set up your
own business and hire other players. If it prospers, we can even change it into a joint-stock
company and enter the stock market and get even more money in this way.
In E-Sim, international wars are nothing out of the ordinary.
"E-Sim is one of the most unique browser games out there"
Become an influential politician.
The second module is a politics. Just like in real life politics
in E-Sim are an extremely powerful tool that can be used for your own purposes.
From time to time there are elections in the game in which you will not only vote, but also have the ability
to run for the head of the party you're in.
You can also apply for congress, where once elected you will be given the right to vote on laws
proposed by your fellow congress members or your president and propose laws yourself.
Voting on laws is important for your country as it can shape the lives of those around you.
You can also try to become the head of a given party, and even take part in presidential
elections and decide on the shape of the foreign policy of a given state
(for example, who to declare war on).
Career in politics is obviously not easy and in order to succeed in it, you have to have
a good plan and compete for the votes of voters.
You can go bankrupt or become a rich man while playing the stock market.
The international war.
The last and probably the most important module is military.
In E-Sim, countries are constantly fighting each other for control
over territories which in return grant them access to more valuable raw materials.
For this purpose, they form alliances, they fight international wars, but they also have
to deal with, for example, uprisings in conquered countries or civil wars, which may explode on
their territory.
You can also take part in these clashes, although you are also given the opportunity to lead a life
as a pacifist
who focuses on other activities in the game (for example, running a successful newspaper or selling
products).
At the auction you can sell or buy your dream inventory.
E-Sim is a unique browser game.
It's creators ensured realistic representation of the mechanisms present
in the real world and gave all power to the players who shape the image of the virtual Earth
according to their own.
So come and join them and help your country achieve its full potential.
Invest, produce and sell - be an entrepreneur in E-Sim.
Take part in numerous events for the E-Sim community.
